I didn't get any gifts from Santa, however I did get an early Christmas gift, the 1/35 Tamiya 7.5cm Pak 40 and 1/35 Tamiya Brass 7.5cm Projectiles. Not to mention a little spending money which will go to good use.Cool [8D]

Oh man, what a Christmas...my girlfriend surprised me big time!  I play guitar, but have never had the money to have my own, and have wanted one for as long as I can remember.  She surprised me with a Fender Strat and amp, a Korg tuner, a Vox headphone amp, and a bunch of my favorite kind of picks.  She also got me oil pastels, some tempura paint, a nice set of tiny, extremely sharp scissors, and two sets of forceps, as my old ones have gone AWOL and I'm losing PE left and right.  Wow!  Also, my secret santa, Mark983, also gave me a 1/48 Accurate Miniatures F3F-2. Way to go, Mark!  I hope everyone has a great day, a safe drive home, and a happy new year!  Party [party]

We're heading out for Seattle later tonight, to visit her folks.  We're leaving later than we had planned so that we hit Mt. Shasta and some of the nastier stretches of I-5 when its noon or so.  Hopefully everything will be clear, but we've got chains for the truck if we need them. Keep your fingers crossed we don't get stuck somewhere!Propeller [8-]

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all my FSM friends around the world!

Cheers,
Alex

No hobby stuff to speak of (the wife says I have enough already and she's right), but lots of food stuff, clothes, miscellaneous do-dads that I use on a yearly basis, and something that comes in real handy up here for at least 5 months out of the year, a 4-cycle/2-stage/7.5hp snowthrower. Big Smile [:D] Been pretty cool up here the past two weeks, with temps ranging between -17C and -33C, no higher.

A bunch of kits (I bought them myself, but my wife wrapped a couple), mostly 1/72 aircraft, nothing really outstanding.  I wanted to increase my stash to give me incentive to complete my Corsair (bad first airbrush paint job and the canopy won't fit right) and Stryker (I really hate IBTT parts, especially PE ones).  Nothing like salivating over new kits to renew my enthusiasm.

Some shirts, books, and a calendar too.

But the most interesting thing was a Digicomp-I kit (http://www.mindsontoys.com/kits.htm).  I've had it on my list for a couple of years and my Mom got it for me this year.  What can I say, I'm a computer programmer nerd.  While it isn't "scale", it is a model kit that I will be putting together.  So I'll post a WIP of it on the forum.  Somewhere.  Not sure what category to put it under.

I got a Hasegawa A-4M Skyhawk in the Secret Santa group build - thanks, raider83! Propeller [8-]

My Dad got me a cordless Dremel tool and a bunch of accessories for it, I'm going to have lots of fun messing around with that at the workbench!

Other than that, some DVDs, some books, an Ikea gift card. A couple sets of my favorite guitar strings in the stocking. Some other little goodies, as well - Good stuff!

I scored big time. A set of Gearwrenches, mini screwdriver set, two tool bags, a very comfy pair of slippers, the third season of Deadwood and best of all, a back massager for my modeling/computer chair. I am in heaven!

first of all I usually just tell my kids not to get me anything as I've got enough junk right now for two more lifetimes!

*my future son inlaw (we hope) got me a Jonny Walker Black gift set

*daughter got me another bottle of smelly stuff (I must have a dozen unopened bottles right now!)

*youngest son bought me a cigar humidor (empty of course)

*middle son got me a couple more LP boxed sets (Lead Zeppelin Mother Ship and another Miles Davis one)

I have other things on the way that I have no idea what they are yet. Was sorta hoping I'd get a new 10 weight flyrod (been hinting for six months), so guess I'm just gonna have to but my own!

I didn't get any models this year.  I haven't built all the ones I've gotten in previous years.  I did get 4 novels, a sweatshirt, some t's, socks and candy.  The best gift was the same as I got last year, and hope to get next year, Christmas with my wife.

I may get so drunk, I have to crawl home. But dammit, I'll crawl like a Marine.

I got some desperately needed flat black paint, emery boards, and two big ones, Firstly, the Chariot from Lost in Space in 1/24th and then, my favorite, an Aluminite casting kit. It has the necessary materials to make sillicone molds, and cast them in a resin type plastic. Also, I recieved 20 bucks in money so about an hour ago, I picked up Revell's 1/72 Fokker Dr.1 and Sopwith tri. As a bonus, Hobby Town was having a buy 2, get 1 free so I also got a Tamiya 1/35th U.S. WWII infantry.

I also got other non modeling stuff but I wont post that here. Ok, one of them. This cute, 3-foot tall penguin! Awwwww.... Blush [:I] Man, my rep is gonna go down the tubes! Well, we 14-year-olds can get away with certain stuff... Approve [^]

Got my gal (Urbanlamb) a 1/48 Revell kit of the Lockheed P-38J Lightning, as she was literally gushing over the recovered Glacier Girl. I know it isn't a P-38F, but she was very happy with the kit. Big Smile [:D]

Fantastic news.  Congratulations.  That will be the best Christmas present one can receive.  Sounds like progress.  A new year is dawning and appears bright.

Wife got me the Academy AH-60L DAP 1/35 scale. I'm just now building my first model again since childhood and I've got two imposing (for me) models on deck. After I get done practicing on my Revell F4U Corsair, I have a Tamiya 1/48 P-47D Thunderbolt Razorback and the Blackhawk. Here's hoping I don't botch such fine plastic.

Merry Christmas and God Bless!
