I never saw the Storch under an AMT box label, only the ESCI/ScaleCraft ones of the late 70s early 80s.

Are you sure this is really an ESCI kit or maybe an AMT kit with their logo? They did this with the B-26 also, was not really an ESCI kit but a 1970s AMT kit.

In thier day, they made some fine kits, again doing subjects no one else did
