I've done this too, now I have knives that don't roll! It's amazing how easily one with a new blade cam go through jeans and into your leg.
Oddly enough super-glue was originally developed as a surgeon's aid to replace stiches in many applications |

Duct tape was invented for use as a waterproof bandage tape for the Marines in the South Pacific.

I hope you sanded immediately after putting on the accelerator
I've cut myself with a hobby knife, but never with the sharp end... I was pushing too hard on the blunt(er) side of the blade and found that I had sliced into my index finger!

Dropped my xacto with a new #11 blade, stuck in the top of my left shoe, into my foot. Many scars on my fingers too. What we go trough for a little relaxation. Bob

Sliced the top off my index finger many years ago.
The bit left over looked like half a baked bean!
It bled for two days, and my finger is still not the right shape.
But it was a scar gained in a noble pursuit!

You drew blood for the FIRST time?
I guarantee it won't be the last.
Wish I had a buck for every time I've drawn blood with my number 11 X-Acto blade.........
I'd be living in a lovely villa on the French Riviera.

Years ago, when I was lucky enough to work on a regular basis on radial engines, the amount of blood you had on your lower arms and hands was considered an indiction of how much work you gotten done at the end of the day.
Of course, in those days, we firmly believed that we could make any thing fly as long as we had duct tape, safety wire, silicon seal, a pair of channel locks and a 24 oz ball peen hammer. lol

I used to get in trouble with my cello instructor when I would come in for a lesson with band aids on my hands and it would affect my playing. We agreed that I would not do anything requiring a knife for a month before a concert.
