My Kids Builds

Well master 4 has started his f-111 (Zhengdefu 1/48 F-111E) as well now, instead of having him do everything like his older siblings, I decided to let him cut the pieces from the sprue, I'd trim and let him paint and glue (yes all gluing and position is his).

After 3 sessions his progress so far

Session 3 was a problem, I mixed the paint a bit thin and he had real trouble with a double action air brush, I think a cheapo single action needs to be purchased

Two More Sessions for master Seven has resulted in thus

Cockpits complete, some help was needed rescuing the decals, but it was his first ever attempt. He's started on pilots and gunner, ready to seal up the cabin. Airbrush work was not the smoothest but again double action airbrush's are not easy for childrens fingers

Now Miss 10, again after two more sessions, cockpit completed. I dont think she planned the christmas colours but they are there anyways. Wheel well built two sessions ago and painted this one. with the top and bottom sections done to finalize last session.

I dont think the colours are anything near regulation, but as long as shes happy, so am I.

Great pics Andrew. Your little ones are doing much better than I did at their age. And I love the purple F-16. Looking forward to seeing the finished products.

Not bad at all.  Your boy's helo certainly looks better than the F-18 I did at his age.  I've got it on my desk to refurbish someday, but I do still have it.

As for the purple viper, keep in mind some of the most dangerous snakes are brightly colored.  That is definitely a girl's plane and, let's be honest, that kind of firepower and PMS is a scary combo.  Reminds me of the Robin Williams bit.  "If women ruled the world there would be no war, but every 28 days there would be some VERY tense negotiations."

Who had the hernia operation--you or your little boy?

I think it will be closer to Bratz than Barbie, but yeah I'm interested to see how it end up. IMHO I like the gold cockpit, not so hot on the pink LOL.
