I was thinking about either painting it Soviet green, or making it Bismark style camouflage. The squigly scheme is a bad idea though, but what about the Soviet or BZismarck?

Just remember the awesome scale of it. You can't go painting it in squiggly lines that would be "scale" thirty foot arcs and twenty feet wide.. You'd have to paint the lines extremely small.

I actually disagree with the concept. For such a massive vehicle, a monotone scheme would enhance the actual impressiveness of its scale. Breaking up its lines with camouflage would, in my opinion, occlude and conceal the tiny, fine details and cause you to "lose" the overall impression of the immense stature of the thing.

I think that a well-executed shading of "scale effect" monotone color would be much more effective. A vehicle this massive would look markedly lighter toward the top of it; more dark and shadowy down lower.

I think this camo scheme, despite the fact its ok a ship. Would look awesome on a mobile artillery piece.

Is this the 80cm rail track gun? I think it would look awesome in bismark style camo (black white and grey zigzag stripes)

Howdy, I'm going to build fujimi's 1/144 Dora (can't wait till it arrives in the mail!!), and i was thinking that the all gray scheme is a little boring, so i thought it might be an interesting idea to have some artistic license, and paint it in a different scheme such as the squiggly German camouflage, or if it was captured by the Soviet Union and repainted. Does this sound like a good idea?

P.S. if anyone has built this kit, are there any particular things that need fixing, correcting, etc.?
