Try www.migproductions.com they have some tutorials, and the site has a question and answer section. Not the friendliest forum, but you should be able to find some info.

Youtube has a lot of how to videos. Here is one I posted up a couple of months ago. A simple run down on weathering with MIG pigments

Also, I would disagree the the MIG forum is an unfriendly place. I get my most useful feedback from there. But, this being America everyone is entitled to their opinion... :)

Well yes,I don't disagree about being able to glean helpful information, and there are a lot of talented modelers there, great modelers, but when I was posting there,I would comment and compliment builds and get no acknowledgment.I posted a couple of of builds of my own not asking for undeserved flattery, but some critique or acknowledgement, and the only one who responded was Rick Lawler the administrator, who is friendly and helpful. But overall, I have pretty much stopped posting there and just Check in for info occasionally.

FSM is by far the best of the forums, for responses

I think the "intimidation factor" on the MIG forums is really high...there are some frighteningly-good modelers there, and they seem to tend to "group together" in their own clique from what I've seen.

I've gotten a decent number of responses there, but the "top guys" are generally in their own threads and seem to rarely venture into others' threads except as a kind of a "professional courtesy"? However, this isn't surprising; most people who build at that level build seriously, and may not use the forum for "socializing" per se as much, nor do they learn much from others because of the level of their expertise.

Overall, it's much the same dynamics as other forums though. You get out of it what you put into it.
