Alright all - it's that time of year - let's see what you've glued together and slapped paint on in 2011!
Here are mine:
1/48 Tamiya P-47D-25 Thunderbolt - Started in late 2010 after bad decals ruined my attempt with the old Monogram kit. LOVED this build.
1/35 Tamiya M4 Sherman Early Production - First armor build in something like 17 years. Great kit to ramp up on.
1/32 Eduard Bf 109E-7 Trop - First 1/32 build. Overall, very enjoyable build, but the Eduard kit has some fit issues with the upper cowl that, in my opinion, make it preferable to build this one opened up.
1/48 Tamiya DH Mosquito NF Mk.II - Quick, refreshing build with a simple paint scheme. Overall I really enjoyed the Mossie, and look forward to building another up as a Night Intruder probably sometime this year.
1/35 AFV Club 17-pdr Achilles IIc - Awesome looks, but a PITA of a kit. Ejector marks all over the hull. Frustrating turret assembly. Poor location points and poorer instructions made getting a lot of the smaller bits in place basically guesswork.
1/32 Wingnut Wings Sopwith Pup RNAS - First biplane. Absolutely stunning kit. Only real issue I faced was the cowl not fitting over the Le Rhone engine. The rigging was intensive, but far less intimidating than I made it out beforehand. I now have three more bipes in the stash...
1/35 Dragon Panzer IV Ausf.G - Another highly enjoyable build - first use of Friul tracks and first crack at a winter scheme. Apparently LAH Pz.IVs had factory-applied whitewash, hence pretty clean and uniform. Looking forward to a more battered application so I can try the hairspray technique.
1/32 Tamiya Spitfire Mk.VIII - LOVED this kit. Everything about it. Pricey, yes, but IMO it earns it in a way few other kits do.
1/48 Tamiya P-51D Mustang - First full airframe NMF. Figured out a way to create masks for the 352nd's blue nose that got me over my random terror of painting that curve. Overall loved the build, though I think Tamiya's P-51B is the better sorted kit.
1/35 Cyber-Hobby Panzer III Ausf.L "Vorpanzer" - Cracking kit. Lots of fun with this build, though I think the wheel design falters a bit next to the Panzer IV I built earlier in the year. Took home 3rd in its category at the Austin show in September.
EDIT - TWO LATE ADDITIONS!
1/48 Tamiya Focke Wulf Fw 190A-3 - First build post-move. Not my best, but great way to knock the rust off!
1/35 Dragon T-34/85 Mod. 1944 - Think Dragon's kits are fussy and over-complicated? Try this one on for size. Simple, solid kit of a simple, solid tank.
