Yep- will be bringing the Offy midget this time. And, my enormous Heller Reale d France ship and the Beech Staggerwing.

Not sure what you mean by chunky. As a rowed vessel it has a typical high fineness ratio (ratio of length to beam). It IS an enormous model- I think probably the biggest plastic model I have built since a 1:48 B-29 long ago. It built into a very nice model but it took awhile- but then, it is a ship model and those in general take a long time. Ship models are major projects. Been working on the Soleil Royale for several years. Work in fits and starts. I'm tying individual ratlines- no preforms or jigs, so I work on a mast, one side at a time, then put up on the project shelf till I get the urge to work some more on it :-) Reale too about four or five months- did it straight through.
Finally got the new issue last nite and wanted to add my congratulations to you Don. I really enjoyed your article. Those do look like fun kits and may have to try one myself.
