I think I am good till 2014 .That,s is because I look forward to the reviews and the how to,s that are always there .I do get frustrated with mags that don,t tell you how . I will probably wind up leaving my collection of mags to the CRAFT department for use by the vets at AUDIE MURPHY hospital .        tankerbuilder

My other half re-upped me when I wasnt looking recently. Maybe she thought I'd get one of those re  enlistment bonuses like I used to...Wink But I must admit I was pleasantly suprised when the new issue came in the mail, and when I read thru it. Best issue I have seen in awhile. Yes

I've got all of them since issue 2.  I saw issue 1 at a meeting, but they were hard to find, so I never got it.  I've been subscribing off and on for a long time.  I still subscribe and don't see me not doing so in the future.  Keep it up FSM!

I am still kicking myself for getting rid of all my issues from the late 1980s and early 1990 when I subscribed for about 7 years.

I recently thinned out my issues from that era but kept the best articles for reference.

Now that I'm looking for armor subjects to scratch build in 1/25th scale I find that the 1980s and early 1990s issues are a gold mine of information about scratch building and have 1/35th scale armor 3 and 4 view drawings in every fourth issue or so.

I don't recall seeing very many scratch building articles in FSM since AD 2000.

My 9-year old daughter came running into the house last night with the mail, screaming  that Dad got his modeling magazine, then she tried to hide it from me. I quess I get too excited when it come every month.

I am still kicking myself for getting rid of all my issues from the late 1980s and early 1990 when I subscribed for about 7 years.

I haven't renewed in a while and I don't think I will (for the moment). I have a Barnes and Noble almost at a walking distance and the issues always arrive 5 to 7 days prior to my mail issues. Several times I ended up with 2 issues because I happened to be working on a certain subject featured in the new issue. Now I buy my FSM if there is something that gets my attention.

In the process of checking out for the latest FSM issue at B&N, I discovered the new Military Illustrated Modeller magazine from the UK and in all fairness, is the heck of a magazine. The stock paper used is top notch not to mention the outstanding photography. The builds and WIP are enticing and inspiring, maybe the reason I'm leaving the wingy thing for armor. I hope I don't get in trouble for mention it. VIVA LA COMPETENCIA! We all benefit from it.

Love the magazine but ran out of space since I don't throw them out. I'm looking into getting the digital subscription....Though it would be nice if the e-sub was cheaper than the paper version.

Dunno about anyone else, but I also keep the sub so I can use the "Subscriber Only" content here...

Haven't subscribed in quite a while. Just doesn't do much for me I guess.

I had a subscription when I was younger. These days I tend to pick and choose off the news stand with most magazine purchases I make. I normally spend at least $50-60 a month on model magazines alone. The ones I read most often average 10-15 bucks per issue, so it pays to be choosy...

FSM is a good rag to be sure and great at showing the building blocks of modeling without getting overly technical.

 the Baron:

I renewed for another 3 years.  I loved getting reminders starting over 5 issues ago, and then continuously, that my subscription would run out with the March 2012 issue, too.

If I wanted to get nagged on a regular basis, I'd have gotten married.

Yeah and if you'd gotten married, you couldn't afford a 3 yr subscription. Stick out tongue

True, very true!  Wouldn't have been able to accumulate the stash, either!  Big Smile

Seriously, though, it's a great value for the money, as far as subscriptions go, a bargain, and it's worth it to me to take the 3-year subscription, because I know I'd just subscribe each year, anyway, so I might as well take the discount Wink

Ditto, except I'm a habitual "newsstand subscriber".

I also have every issue, plus a few spares (ones I bought at the newstand when my subscription issue was delayed in the mail and I got impatient waiting).

Over the Holidays I finally managed to to get the last couple of years gathered up and into binders.  The entire collection is currently all stacked up in a corner of the den which has prompted a discussion with my wife regarding the possiblity of buying a dedicated bookcase for them.  She's somewhat receptive, because it at least gets them out of the walk-in closet in the bedroom.  Just bought another new bookcase late last year, but it got filled up pretty quickly with my collection of Detail & Scale, Squadron In Action books and about fifteen years of The Hook.

My subscription runs out next year. I will renew it. I have every issue published and plan to continue to read and save  them. I keep them in file boxes in my hobby room. I also download the annual index FSM releases on line.

I really enjoy FSM, and with the paper copies, you can stack them up on a shelf or put them in binders and refer to them for years to come.  The information on tips and techniques is always valuable and never grows old.  I'm on my third year, and intend to continue the subscription.

My subscription expires in March, i'll definitely be renewing.

I also bought about 2 years worth of back-catalogue issues last year.  Was over the moon when they all arrived - greatest two months' worth of reading of my life!

Won't be subscribing.

Been thinning out my reference library and cutting back on all new  printed modeling reference  purchases due to need for more model display space.

I've got print and digital for now.  Print copy runs out in May.  I'm debating renewing the paper copy or just staying digital.
