Because of the type of styrene they used. AMT/Ertl had a bad habit of using really soft plastic that would mar if you stared at it too hard. Italeri uses better quality styrene.

Although if you used $5 worth of brass tubing and some 5 minute epoxy to strengthen the wings, it would eliminate the droop the AMT kits got over time.

Bottom line, they are the same molds, just 15 years older and three times the cost.

From what I understand, the Italeri offering is superior to the AMT/ERTL kits.

They are the same kits.

They have the X/YB-35 flying wing from Italeri in 1/72 listed for $53 USD! Cheaper than Ebay.

It is listed as "in Stock" which from previous posts should be OK.

Is it good to order?
