Oh. Was hoping that the newer kit had greater detail......
On the workbench:
Trumpeter 148 MiG -21F
Because of the type of styrene they used. AMT/Ertl had a bad habit of using really soft plastic that would mar if you stared at it too hard. Italeri uses better quality styrene.
Although if you used $5 worth of brass tubing and some 5 minute epoxy to strengthen the wings, it would eliminate the droop the AMT kits got over time.
Bottom line, they are the same molds, just 15 years older and three times the cost.
Rob , look at the Pros and cons on the link you gave me.....says: "better than original"
mike_espo Rob Gronovius: Dang, I can remember those kits being dirt cheap in the 90s when AMT was dumping them; like $9.99 or less. From what I understand, the Italeri offering is superior to the AMT/ERTL kits.

Mike you are getting it for good price, got mine for $63
Yes, as long as it says in stock. I've ordered from them before using Paypal and its pretty fast order processing/ shipping.
Anybody have any insights?
They have the X/YB-35 flying wing from Italeri in 1/72 listed for $53 USD! Cheaper than Ebay.
It is listed as "in Stock" which from previous posts should be OK.
Is it good to order?
thanks
