Disappointed with Dragon...again
Posted by Anonymous on Tuesday, February 10, 2004 4:07 PM
You know I hate to complain but this getting old. I have two tickets open at Dragon for replacement parts for two Hasegawa kits. One part is missing the other I messed up myself. The first ticket is two weeks old and the other is coming up on a week and a half. I have yet to hear anything from them. If anyone else has had to replace parts how long did it take? Their ticket system is the only way that I know how to get help from them, if you can call it that. Getting frustrated.

Sorry to hear about your problem with Dragon.

It seems to me everybody messes up from time to time.

I ordered a replacement part for an Italeri kit (I had to go through Testors here in the US).

I got the "part" in about three and a half weeks. Problem is they sent me the wrong parts! They sent me the parts that matched the Testors kit number and not the Italeri kit number.

So.....I contacted them again and I'm waiting again.

Hi Gang;
I did their 1/72 P 38J a while ago and I was very impressed with the fine detail but it was as though some of the parts were shrunk or something.. Massive amounts of filler were required in wing root area and nose section.. I purchased their night fighter version and did not have the same problems.. Someone at our club said DML's quality control was lacking at times,, The kit I had was more than likely shot from molds before cooling.... I have mixed opionions about their aircraft in general... From excellent to what the hell were they thinking....
