What model would you most like to see produced?
Posted by Tim Kidwell on Wednesday, March 13, 2013 6:03 PM

Hello everyone,

I know you all have that one model you'd like to see manufacturers produce. Now's your chance to let them know. Click this link and take the FSM most-wanted kit survey. Don't forget to read the instructions.

The results of the survey will be included in the September 2013 FineScale Modeler

Tim

Tim, is something like a new tooling B-17 for 1/48th aircraft kosher? Or does it have to be something never kitted in injection-molded plastic? And I kinda wish ya'll would include reissued kits, some kits of subjects I'd like to build are out there but OOP and really hard to find.

A new tooling of a B-17 would fit.

Trumpeter, or someone else, needs to make a 1/35 LG-1 to hitch to their late version Grizzly.

I build 1/48 scale WW2 fighters.

Have fun.

Trumpeter should continue their line of 1/32 Flankers by adding the Su-27K and the newer Su-34...

C'mon guys, you know you want to produce these.

I've been hoping for an Sd.Kfz 9/1 with the Bilstein crane in 1/35, styrene-based all in one box. I know Tamiya's FAMO can be paired with the AM Bilsteins, but still. Trumpeter's got a 1/72; no love for 1/35? And Dragon has got a line of Sd.Kfz-everything.....just sayin'

Yes Tim, I did vote Yes

Someone needs to make an escourt carrier.  How about the USS BOUGE please!     Would love it in 1/200 scale but  the price would scare most away so I will settle for 1/350th     Please....Please... Please.....

Dont worry about the thumbprint, paint it Rust , and call it "Battle Damage"

As an armor guy, it's funny that I would say a 1/350 Maryland or Colorado class BB. A Tennessee would be cool as well.

Still trying to make up my mind on what I want to vote on here.

Thinking about a M103 and F214 Conqueror in the 1/35th armour category (yeah I know there are resin kits of both, but I'm too cheap to cough up that much dough)

New tooling B-17, B-24, and B-26 in 1/48th aircraft (I know the Monogram kits are still good, still I'd like to see someone else take a swing at them)

I'm still waiting on Trumperter to release their A-6 Intruder. how many years have it been now since they mention that they're going to produce one 5-6? A 1/24th F-4 Phantom II would be nice to have.

I'd like to see a 1/350 USS Alaska class battle cruiser and a good 1/48 B-17G.

I'm from the government and I'm here to help.

Nice thread Tim. I've already put it in there but would like to see a better offrering of the BV-141 in 48th scale than currently non available and a 24th scale Me-262 with room for the U4 conversion.

All ww1 and ww2 aircraft, ships, buildings in 1/35, okay since that won't happen i would love a sky-train in 1/35, more variant in landing craft, actual kits with all the correct parts and decals.  I would like to see the Valentine that had the bundle of sticks with culverts don't remember the name but saw it on ww2 secrets revealed on History/military channel.

More kits from the India/China, North Africa and Pacific theater, both axis and allies.  Armored trains, bulldozers, construction vehicles, varied logistic trucks, Command vehicles as a kit not after/conversion kits.  Better tracks, movable suspensions, better way to connect the vinyl tracks the two dot heated stinks.  Actually make the antenna (i don't  make them cause me and hot plastic don't mix well. lol)

To bad figures were not included I would say more combat poses, wounded soldiers/civilians, shredded or ripped uniforms only movies and models have everyone in perfect uniforms.

Diorama stuff, more doors/window/shutters.  Pre-made no mans land or craters.  more range on obstruction devices barbed wire/tank traps, pre-built tank ditches,  Breaching equipment Bangalore, grappling hooks.  fortified houses, better sandbags,  I love a lot of the buildings and options that train people have and would love to see some of these things brought over to 1/35.

So a lot of things i would love to see built.  I build 1/35 simply cause I love the amount of detail without the sacrifice of either being to big or too small.  I know some of the items I suggested would be huge, I would love to hang a Skytrain from my ceiling with Airborne troops jumping out in different stages of their shoots opening.
