You might try some of the hobby shops listed in the back of FSM. I know that Dyohsho put out a 1/100 scale Canadian Air Force 707 refueling aircraft that had parts to make it a KC-135. The last time I saw any other scale KC-135 (not an R model; just the plain old airplane) was in the mid 60's. Barring that, you're kind of ou of luck...

just did an e-bay search on kc-135 and found some 600 plus hits. A number have it listed as buy it now, but get ready to spend 50-70 bucks. add the word "kits" and it drops to about 4, depending on how you word the search.

I've been all over ebay like white on snowflakes. But the same bidder has snapped up the four I've been able to find. I'm perfectly happy with a standard A model and original pre upgrade engines as the sr was seconds before the 135's upgrade.

AMT and ESCI/ERTL released  several 1/72  C135 variants about 20 years ago, including the tanker. They are OOP, but there are a few on Ebay. There is also at least one 1/144 there as well.

im hoping someone can help. im trying to bulid a display for my father involving a midair refueling with a KC-135 and an SR-71.

however finding a 135 seems to be near impossible. im open to do it in either 144 or 72 scale. if anyone has a line on either scale could you please drop me a line. the few ive managed to find are getting snapped up before i can even hit the submit button.

i would greatly appreciate any leads as to where one can be acquired.
