Eric, I will gladly do my best to keep you updated on my progress with this kit. I will also try to provide photos of the progress in my updates. I guess I'm also in a bit of a modeling funk. Not sure how I got into this funk. It may have something to do with my first serious attempt at weathering and superdetailing a tank model some 15 years ago. Now I have difficulty at building a model strictly box stock. I begin researching the history of a particular subject and contemplating the detailing possibilities and before I know it my enthusiasm has waned a little. Add to that, working long and sometimes odd hours in a factory and the fact that I'm a bit older now and I guess being in that funk is understandable. I think age and the fact that I don't have the physical and mental energy I had when I was younger is a BIG factor. But this new Batmobile has me really excited. I thought about it a lot at work last night. I may look into the possibility of lighting it and I thought displaying it in a little "Gotham" themed diorama or vignette would be really cool. The great thing about it is, as far as I can tell right now, it will be built mostly box stock. So I won't have to worry about getting bogged down in a lot of prebuild research.

Well, Rob, or Robin if you prefer, since you are a Batman fan then I think you would like this kit as well. I have the Polar Lights "original" Batmobile from the TV show and I have the one from the first movie that was released in 1989. I'm not that big of a Batman fan and I never got interested in ANY of the superhero comics as a kid but I do like trying to collect models from TV shows as well as movies, especially the ones I watched as a kid. I'll definitely buy the other Moebius Batman kits and probably very soon. I even have the big figure kit of Jim Carrey as The Riddler that Revell released years ago.

Jim, PLEASE keep us up to date on how it goes together!  I'm not much of a car fan BUT I am a Batman fan.  If it's a good kit, I just might break out of my usual mold and look into getting this kit.  I'm kind of in a modeling funk right now and am thinking of breaking out into something new and different.

I bought the 1/35 scale one by Bandai from the first movie, what a superb kit that was. I've been a Batman fan for decades (my name is Robin) and have most Batmobile kits made. I bought the Moebius Batpod and Batman figures, but have not gotten around to it yet.

I may get this version since it will be in scale with my previous Batman movie (original 4 movies) Batmobiles.

My first Moebius kit: The Batmobile from The Dark Knight Trilogy

I just received my first Moebius kit that I ordered over the internet. I've only opened the box and browsed through the bagged parts....without opening the bags.... and flipped through the instruction manual. And I'm very impressed. The first thing that I noticed upon picking up the kit is that for a 1/25 "car" it's a heavy kit. When I opened the box I saw why. This kit is loaded with parts. Upon first glance I didn't see anywhere on the box or in the instruction booklet, information on how many parts are in the kit. But, I would have to say it has twice as many parts as your average 1/25 car kit. Of course, this is no average car. From what I've seen so far the molding quality appears to be excellent. I'll know more about the quality when I start building it but I see no signs of flash on the parts. I was also impressed with the instruction manual. The instructions are printed on glossy paper from front to back. The drawings are clear and easy to understand and the parts are not only numbered but named as well. My only complaint over the manual is that the only painting guide is located on a couple of pages near the back of the manual with color photos of the completed model. I prefer the instructions to have painting suggestions throughout. Of course, we're talking about a car that is almost completely black so I suppose there isn't a great deal of suggestion needed in this case. Over the past 5 to 10 years I've collected more models than I've built and I general put newer models on hold in order to hopefully make progress on models I've had for a long time. But this is one model I may not be able to wait on. And there will be more Moebius kits added to my collection in the very near future.
