At one of our recent IPMS Tidewater meetings, one of our members is an exchange officer with the Japanese maritime self defense force. At the show and tell time he brought along one of his models which was a p 40 captured at Clark and repainted in Imperial markings for test and evaluation, or as he put it "one of the good guys"

Ha! That's awesome. I got to work and live with a bunch of JSDF guys when I deployed to Africa. They were the nicest group of folks I've ever met. One of my buddies got a hold of a Godzilla costume, and would chase them around in it. It was quite a sight

now that would be an interesting diorame with a JGSDF LAV 4x4 (which i have) and some JGSDF infantrymen (which i also have). my mind is awhirl with possibilites already but more information to decribe the incident on a piece of paper next to the base would add to the diorama.
