scubaboy99.

Use the Papermodel as a template, buildings aren't that tough. Wink [;)]

Myself getting bit tired of plastic models and might want to diversify into a slightly new direction, Resin & Figure Kits I will keep building.

Currently got an option on an Aliens Dropship and matching APC as papermodels would be nice to do them up as a scratchbuild using styrene and other materials.
Slowly but surely I want to increase my sculpting and scratchbuilding skills and maybe look into selling a few of my own kits (resin cast from the scratch build/sculpted prototypes) at local conventions and shows.

I asked a question like this in the forum. I found a European house. It looks good on paper, but I haven't built it yet. There was a picture of a Sherman tank rolling by it and looked really realistic. A styrene kit would be even better.

Paper Model to Kit.

Hi All.

Recently I downloaded quiet a few Papermodels of the Net.

Now there are quiet a few good and high quality models out there, after looking at the instructions it kinda struck me that some of the Models could be just as well assembled from Sheet styrene and bassically become a scratchbuild Model.
Especially with Companies like WAVE & KOTOBUKIYA offering AM parts for SF/Mecha models.

Naturally a few parts might have to be fully scratchbuild/sculpted but the majority should be there.
Also that with todays PC's and Graphic software it should be easay to change the scale of the Kit to be build, thus changing a 1/100 Tydirium papermodel to a 1/72 Sheet styrene kit should be easy

Maybe with a bit of effort we could turn a papermodel of a unavailable/hard to get design into a fairly easy scratchbuild.
