Looking for easy kits to practice with

Pegasus Hobbies makes some very simple new tooled kits.

Monogram make some fairly basic stuff in most genera's, and the best part, their fairly affordable.

to what modelcrazy said. You can get Monogram & Revell kits at just about any Hobby Lobby and Michael's for about $17 each. Definitely worth the price to practice your skills on.

Plus, Michael's and Hobby Lobby usually have weekly mobile 40% discount coupons. Sometimes more.

I 2nd stikpusher's suggestion on the Pegasus kits. You can look online and find them for under 10 bucks. They have a V-2 rocket, P-51B, Hurricane, Spit, Zero, FW 190, Bf 109 (both E and G models) and I believe they just came out with a Me 262 (those are all 1/48 mind you.) While the detail isn't as crisp as alot of higher end guys offerings, the fit is pretty dang good. Pretty good bang for your buck.

I would concur with the Revell/Monogram stuff.  Also, Hobby Boss makes a line of beginners kits that are worth looking at.  I think they call them Easy Build, and they are quite inexpensive.

You may want to search Ebay for model kit lots.  When I first re-entered the hobby, I found a lot of 9 kits for $ 35.00 including shipping to practice on.( that's 3.88 per kit.)  Maybe not the easiest kits to build but certainly inexpensive.   As a bonus I was able to work on more techniques like seam and wing root filling etc.
