Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.The techniques are really laid out well,they are loaded with pictures,tips and explanations.Really detailed.But some of the stuff was beyond me.No Magic bullets.

But certainly worth a try,even if you can't apply the whole system,you can use parts of it and learn something.great refrence too.I have volume 1+2

I like them, but then I am very new to the techniques used in those books.

Hoping to spend some of my summer learning the techniques shown in the books.

I cannot help but wonder just how many real armored vehicles survived long enough to look so beautifully beat up.

I see similar work in the expensive Euro import magazines.

Beautiful work, but - per what I read in (IIRC) the Images of War book on Tiger II tanks- it seems a lot of late war German armor broke down soon after being de-trained or simply didn't have petrol for very long after being shipped from the factory.

In any case, I bought all three books simply because the step by step illustrations and paint mix info was so good.

much more cost and time effective than paying the $11.99 news stand price for those Euro Armour magazines and trying to sift through 'em for tips and info..

Hope you enjoy them, they are neat books! Only big caveat I have about them is they do sorta overlap though I'm not sure how else you could get around this.  

I hope they do overlap a bit, since I can't seem to find Vol. 1.

Ahh, shouldn't be an issue. He gives a pretty solid in-depth run-down on every project he details.
