I like them, but then I am very new to the techniques used in those books.
Hoping to spend some of my summer learning the techniques shown in the books.
I cannot help but wonder just how many real armored vehicles survived long enough to look so beautifully beat up.
I see similar work in the expensive Euro import magazines.
Beautiful work, but - per what I read in (IIRC) the Images of War book on Tiger II tanks- it seems a lot of late war German armor broke down soon after being de-trained or simply didn't have petrol for very long after being shipped from the factory.
In any case, I bought all three books simply because the step by step illustrations and paint mix info was so good.
