How do you store your decals?

I store them in Ziplock bags.

Ziplok bags stored in a Tupperware container. You never can be too careful or cautious.

Ziplocks are the way to go for me.

I keep all mine in Ziplock Bags inside a Tupperware container too . I have some decals for cars and planes that go back over fifteen years .They are still in pristine condition . Note; when putting them in the bag ," Burp " out as much air as you can on a flat surface .Then " Burp " the Tupperware container too !     T.B.

My decals pretty much stay in the original box in a room that ranges from 40 degrees to 90 degrees.

When I'm working on a kit they go into a container. I ruined more than a few sets when I left them in the box as I was working on the kit and they were in some way damaged.

I too use the 3 ring binder with the clear plastic pages.  The decals and instructions go in their own pocket

Mine are in the original bags in the kit boxes in my basement.Temp is usually 65-80 F with a dehumidifier in the summer.

I never gave it much thought,hopefully I won't have a problem with the older ones.

I got this idea from this forum many years back and have since stored my decal stash this way. I use a refrigerator plastic food organizer, Tupperware and the like, put the decal sheets in their original plastic bags and ADD DESSICANTS from medicine bottles. I then store it inside my closet. Works ok, decals are good as new.

OOOH the desicants are a great idea i never thought of.  

My stash ( including decals of course ) is in my unheated/un-air conditioned /uninsulated Florida room cuz that's where i have my only storage space ,  It gets extreemly hot and humid here in Daytona and I worry about the weather ruining everything out there.

Do any of you know where or if i can buy the desicant packs ,because I can't count how many of those little buggers I have thrown away that were in the packages of various items I have purchased ?

Walmart, Lowes or any hardware store I believe.

Here's another vote for the Tupperware container.

I've used one for over 30 years to keep new and spare leftover decals.  Many a project has been enhanced by the use of an instrument face, stripe or number that I pulled from the "burped" container.

Regarding dessicant packs.  When you purchase some, get those that can be reused.  While Virginia isn't Florida, humidity can be bad here.  Dessicant packs occasionally need to be "recharged."  I haven't used any for awhile, but I've used the kind that can be put in an oven, dried out and reused.  I assume those are still available.

Cool !   I just never had the occasion to look for them, but next time I go to Wally World I will.

You can always "steal'em"  out of shoe boxes too. Not that I'm trying to encourage it. LOL!

I've had guys on here tell me not to use dessicants. It could make them brittle and dry them out too much. I keep the AM decals in a plastic drawer and the kit decals in their box, sealed with ziploc freezer bags.
