Model Master discontinuing RLM colors?

I did notice that you can't order Testors paint directly from them anymore, but they're still making the RLMs

Vallejo? I have limited experience. It does seem to go on a bit thicker than other acrylics I've used. They have a really good color selection. I thin it with water or vallejo thinner medium.

Amazon has a lot of Revell paint. It seems to come in sets...

Revell enamels are great. I have a few of their colors and I am very pleased with them. But I have never come across or had a chance to use their acrylics.

The Hobby Town here in Las Vegas has a hit and miss selection of MM, Humbrol and Tamiya paints. My fiance builds Gundams and they only carry 3 colors of the Gundam markers. I have just taken to buying them from Scale Hobbyist and sites like them.

Consider yourself lucky. The HobbyTown here in my neck of the woods never carried the RLM colors in acrylic. I didn't even know that was an option!

That's an interesting perspective I've never considered.  The non-aircraft non-armor modeler looking for unique items of their interest.  I bet it can be difficult finding genre specific supplies sometimes like maritime colors.  Actually, now that I think about it, there used to be a great small hobby shop north of Dallas that had a rich bounty of planes, trains, and tanks but I never saw ships, space vehicles, model guns, etc...

My guy at the hobby shop said if I wanted a good equivalent to the MM paints that I should try Vallejo Model Air paints.  Unfortunately, they don't sell them at this time.

Buying paint at the hobby store has become so hit and miss. Mine, the last one standing, never had any maritime colors at all. Their whole focus with kits are model airplanes. And I know I am looking at jars that I've looked at for the last ten years.

Well, I sure hope not because I have finally become comfortable with these.  They can be a bit high maintenance but have a nice satin finish.

They still show the full range of RLM colors on the recently revamped Testors website. At least in the MM Enamel line. There are a few less colors such as 80/81/82/83 in the Acrylic range. This is after the latest shake up and culling of the paint lines that was done a few months back.
