Chromed my 61 with Alclad and I wonder how long it should cure before it is ok to handle without leaving fingerprints?
According to instructions I printed from their web site you can recoat in 5 minutes and safely handle it in 2 hours.

That is the amount of dry time I give Alclad when I spray it.

Worked out well but I stil handle it as litle as I can.
3 days. I prefer weeks, but one does get impatient. Time is the one free thing in life to spend.

Treat it lik Ny other paint.About 24 hours It's chemical properties drying from the outside in.Dry to the touch iwothin 2 hours.But;Not totally.

I have sprayed Alclad and masked with Post It small yellow notes an hour later with no lifting or damage to the finish. But I too try to leave it alone overnight just in case, specially when applying decals.
Too many models to build, not enough time in a lifetime!!

I have used Sovaset which is very strong over the high shine Alclads without sealing them and had no problems at all. I just make certain to wait a minimum of a day or two to let it cure before decaling.
I have had no trouble with decal setting solutions or solvents over Alclad, but I have had CA accelerator make a real mess of it.
