September Issue
Posted by richs26 on Thursday, August 4, 2016 1:03 AM

Thank you FSM as my September issue arrived today, the 3rd.  It is amazing for it to arrive so early here in Alaska.  Usually it arrives like on the 7th to the 10th of the month with some issues going to the 15th.  A job well done to get it delivered early.

I still have not received mine. To be honest, havent been real impressed lately by FSM and their subscription service. Used to have really great service; recieved the new issues a couple of days after they were released. Since, I have renewed my latest subscription, I have had to contact Customer Service three times to let them know I hadnt received two issues, then I got one (July '16). I renewed the subsription in February, recieved March, didnt receive April or May. I think if I dont receive Sept. I will definitely not renew my subscription again.

I have not recieved my September issue too. Not sure what is happening as of late. It took a month to get my July issue. I put in requests with customer service, but, it took repling to a post on the FSM forum to get a response. Hopefully, this reply will get the ball rolling again.

Delivery of my copies have been very iffy over the last year. I think there have been more times that I didnt get my copy as compared to those times that I did.  I suppose its a problem more of our postal service here?  Honestly, though, Im getting very iffy about renewing my susbscription because of this.

Haven't received my September issue either. I'm a new subscriber, this would have been the second issue of my subscription, and so far they appear to have a 50% failure rate.

Did not receive my issue either. When I contacted customer service they told me they would extend my subscription. Of course if you don't receive issues it is theoretically possible to have a lifetime subscription.

Bob, I got the exact same response from Customer Service when I spoke with them directly. I was like GREAT, extend it and extend it and extend it...maybe, I'll get a couple issues in that lifetime subscription!

I got mine on the 12th, so maybe you'll get yours soon.

That's weird, I received like 35 of this issue. They must have sent them all to my house. Wink naw, just kidding.

I got an email from Becky of FSM about my reply here.  Talk about customer care!  She said my copy is on its way. I know my problem really is with our postal/courier service. Sigh.  I guess some things in this country just never change.

Allan,

I agree with you about Becky, she contacted me as well. Seems they found the root cause was somehow my account was converted to a digital subscription instead of a print subscription. So while they fix the issue, she is sending me the September copy, and she will mail me the October copy as soon as it is out. Great customer service!

My wife renewed my subscription in the late spring. I received two issues in the mail, later than they were available at the LHS, then nothing. I did not receive the last issue, nor the most recent one. Lets just say at this point I am done with the magazine.

I have been a subsriber for 30 years or longer and never had an issue with them.  My copies alway arrive with no probems. Denver has an excellent postal system I guess.

I never subscribed to FSM magazine plus the $30 price for 10 issues is a bit too much IMHO. If they lowered it to $20 or even $24 for 12 issues, I'd consider it. But 10 issues for $30? Nope.

I too, spoke with Becky last week. We talked on the phone regarding the situation quite in-depth. She said that they would send it out with tracking to make sure its getting to the right location. I likely wont receive it until mid-week, but at least she was very responsive to making sure this was taken care of. Evidently, for some reason, they were showing I had a digital subscription in one place and the physical subscription in another. I also want to give a shout-out to Aaron Skinner for moving this issue up the chain within Kalmbach Publishing.Yes
