I know I'm missing several other builds that I somehow deleted the pictures
Too many models to build, not enough time in a lifetime!!
very nice plasticjunkie ,really like your weathering .
Some great builds there PJ, look forward to more of yours next year.
I am a Norfolk man and i glory in being so

Love those PJ, that's some sharp work!!!

Holy crap!! How many Phantoms did you build this year? Are they all 1/48? What did you use for all the ordinance? They all look really nice with a good amount of weathering. High quality work on all the paint and masking on each build!!
Karl
That's one hell of an air force, even with the missing ones. I just got the Tamiya F-4 and will have to reference your builds if I get to it. Outstanding.

Thanks gents for the nice comments.

The Tomcat is 1/48 Hasegawa with aftermarket decals for 'Wichita' 103 during the Gulf War. It's a very nice kit but a bit fiddly specially the intakes and joining the front fuselage part to the rear one.
I believe by this time the missiles were grey but it was a commission and he wanted them in white.
Nathan T Holy crap!! How many Phantoms did you build this year? Are they all 1/48? What did you use for all the ordinance? They all look really nice with a good amount of weathering. High quality work on all the paint and masking on each build!!
Thanks Jonathan. LOL I guess you can tell I like the Phantom? The weathering is a combination of marbling/blackbasing, artist oils for streaks and Flory Washes.
The Sundownner is 1/48 Academy and was a joy to build. The decals were awesome (over 300 between stencils and markings). Detail and fit AAA+++.
Showtime 100 was 1/48 Hasegawa with a Hasegawa weapons and kit decals. Not a bad kit.
The Death Angels and Jolly Roger Js are old 1/48 Monograms with aftermarket decals. Weapons are a mix of Academy and Hasegawa. These are very old molds but they do build up to very good F-4's. The FOD covers were scratched out from those junk plastic cards we get in the mail. They were the right thickness and as an added bonus were free.

I have seen built Tamiya F-4s and they are simply awesome but huge at 1/32.
You do whip out some really nice Phantoms I must say. Nice Tomcat too! Actually everything looks great and a hearty ''Good Job" to you for the year.
Max
Very nice.. Like all the Phantom Cats, two of my favorites. Got to add a Cat one of these days.
PJ,
Fantastic job on all these builds! But, I really like the 14 best! I remember your WIP of this kit, and the helicopter kill marker. That was a great addition!

On the bench: 1/48 Eduard MiG-21MF
1/35 Takom Merkava Mk.I
Max, gh and Bruce, thanks for your comments. The F-4 is a very cool looking and deadly aircraft. Yes Wichita 103 shot down an Iraqui helo and has the kill mark on the side.

PJ, Impressive work. I agree with Aggie - the weathering is really nice. Ya gotta love a Phantom !
Chris
"Witchita 103" VF-1 Wolfpack, Miramar NAS, Miramar California, CAG 2 USS Ranger, yes Desert Storm, was blown around the deck by that very Tom. BTW GEORGEUS build. Never knew thier call sign as I was TACELRON 131, EA-6B Prowlers. We were........nut I forgot......still really cool build sir.
we're modelers it's what we do
I remember watching all of those except for the 16. Great work PJ, I love your weathering.
Steve
Building a kit from your stash is like cutting a head off a Hydra, two more take it's place.
