Nice!  I think the Paladin is a wicked looking beast.  Glam just saw one built up recently in the 2020/21 Secret Santa thread.

I picked this up for $9.99 on ebay

Thanks,

John

Which barrel is longer: That T-72 turret or your Super Sherman?

I see this Su-152 Taran next in your list of builds :P

I was looking for some mesh to add to my H-19 and the couple things I had didn't look right.  Poked around and found this on Amazon for 12.68

304 Stainless Steel Woven Wire Mesh #80 Mesh - Hole 0.18mm, about 1ft x 3ft

Thanks,

John

Tony, it will indeed be a Russ project... just don't know when yet...

John, I haven't compared the barrel lengths yet, but a SWAG says the T-72 barrel will be longer. The M51 used a slightly reduced length version of the same 105mm gun that used on the AMX-30. And no, it won't be that SU-152, but an older model T-72.

These are such cool vehicles.  I was blessed with the AFV Club iteration in the Secret Santa GB, but I have this one in the stash as well.

Welp, I went almost two months without adding anything to the stash.  Oh well, I had a gift certificate to use that I received for Christmas!

Hi,

I almost forgot about these two.  I picked the T-34 up from a local Habby store a week or so agao, and I picked up the Dry Dock and Destroyer off eBay, since it seemed to be something out of the ordinary.

I SAID I was going to get easy on adding to the bloated hoarder-like stash I have but I couldn't help it- the T-50 was so CUTE I had to add it!

The T-50 was supposed to be the new standard Soviet light tank in 1940. Until they found out that it cost as much and consumed as much time to build as a medium tank. With the German invasion of '41 Stavka decided they're really prefer more T-34 medium tanks than expensive T-50 lights. So only 67 or so were built.

But it's so CUTE!!!

Delivered today, another 3D wheel/tyre/brake combo in the Minilite style/genre, possibly for a Lotus 7 in build or a Porshe 914 or most anything sporty.

Remember , common sense is not common.

The ZM F4-D arrived.  Took a look through the bagged sprues, and the instructions. Molding looks nice and clean. They seem to have Trumpeter-itis, in that why do one piece when you can do four.  Won't know until I start, but it looks like instructions can be somewhat vague in places.  Only color callouts are for Vallejo paints, but there are full view color and marking locations for the exterior.  Going to have to get cross reference for other paints, as I don't have much Vallejo on hand and not ordering for this build, and maybe the companion "E" that Capt Ritchie got kills in.

The Quinta instructions can also be vague as to what kit parts need to have molded detail removed.

Both of those issues are probably just me.

I was very surprised when Takom announced they were doing a kit of the Viet Nam-Era M114.  Back in the 1990s, I remembered seeing a resin kit of it that was fabulously expensive.

Takom's kit is well detailed, but has no interior.  But judging from what is molded on the hull bulkheads, which include the engine compartment walls, a full interior re-box is almost certain.  No matter, my only wish is that a good set of plastic 1970s-era US AFV crew figures would come out, both for Viet Nam service as well as Europe.

And I have "Copycat-Itis".

See, the forum is very BAD.  Bad, bad, bad.  Monkey see, monkey go buy.  But da~ng, those Sea Dart missiles look viscious in red!

Goldhammer,

Right?  Everything new is so shiny and tempting.  And when you see someone found a cool kit, you know you have to have one too.  And the "add to cart" button is so easy to use.  Tongue Tied  This thread is like an AA meeting that is hosted by booze manufacturers, who bring their latest wares to show you.

But that's why I like it!  Stick out tongue
