Glad to hear that you all are ok. Just got through with Harvey and the only damage we got was the rear fence got knocked down. I stood it back up but need to replace it. Here in Corpus we got off light. The folks in the Rockport/ Aransas Pass areas...................not so much.

Yeah, Tanker, we came away better than most. Our power was back on after two days. Where we live, the utilities are underground. No damage at all to the house, no injuries to us or our pets. For most of us here in this part of Seminole county it's really just a matter of clean up. Most damage is trees down and a few houses lost shingles from the roof. We're pretty high above sea level here (100+ feet) and our soil is pretty sandy so the rain drained away pretty fast. Haven't seen any flooding in this area. It's the folks south of us and in the Keys who have a long way to go! Down that way, aerial views look like the aftermath of Andrew or Katrina. The folks down south are going to need a lot of help rebuilding. I hope the Feds come through with all the money and aid everyone down there will need. Read in the paper this morning that grocery stores are having a hard time getting shelves restocked. I've been in communication with Route 62, and he and his family have power back. Our IPMS chapter has a build day this Saturday at a local hobby shop. We'll see who shows up and hear what their stories are.

I got power back yesterday afternoon.  I did not get any major damage, about two dozen shingles came loose and lots of tree debris.

Most of the food in the fridge will have to be replaced.  Walking around my neighborhood, some had down trees and damage to their homes.  I live in an old neighborhood with lots of old trees close to homes.

I did get a lot done the day before and after the storm on my F-18 build to keep from getting bored.  F-18 is fully decaled and ready for weathering.  Only good thing about a hurricane is that the day or two after, the temp outside is cool so even without power the house is cool and clean up is not in full sun and humidity.

I left the humble abode after boarding up and tieing down and went to a shelter for 3 days. Came home yesterday (9/11 ) to find no damage and the power still on. Praise God ! Today was spent cleaning up all the tree debris around the house . maybe I can get back to modeling my 1/350 Cruiser Houston tomorrow,so I can finish it for Modelpaloosa

Yeah, Bish, it was quite a blow. Actually, the worst part was the waiting. When the storm got here it kind of a relief.
