Thanks Steve. I take it you mean the tail markings on the aircraft kits. A few are from the kit decal sheets, you can stil get some that include them. But i have a big selection of Aftermarket decal sheets which have nothing but swatika's. The sets i have include Xtradecal, Areomaster and Microscale. But i also use a lot of Aftermaket sets as alternatives to whats in the box, and they usually include them.

That’s a great eclectic batch of builds there Bish. Romans to Imperials, and all sorts of stuff in between. I love it!

Thanks guys, really enjoyed this year. I was surprised myself at how many i managed to finish. Doing the 3 162's and then the 4 Rudel builds at once helped. I had only though i would get the 32nd Stuka done and mnaybe carry the 190 into next year, must have had some lucky breaks.

Rob, agreed. I have been trying to get anotehr one to do an in flight build. But next time i'll black out the canopy as i am not keen on the cockpit.

Wow Bish, I knew you'd been busy but not that you'd knocked out this much!

Congradulations!!!

I like the Return of the Jedi shuttle. It was probably the best star wars model produced by MPC before they got taken over by AMT/Ertl.

Build Review 2017
Posted by Bish on Sunday, December 31, 2017 8:46 AM

I'm a bit late putting up this thread this year, but i was determined to get my last build in before the end of the year, and just about managed it.

I've had a busy year this year with 20 completions, more then i have finished in a year for a very long time. I also got under way with a project thats been brewing for 20 years. So, here's what i have been up to.

The year started with a Star Wars build, the Imperial Shuttle from AMT.

This was followed by Revells 1/125th Type VII U-Boat. Not only a good chance to do the U-99 again but also to practice painting and weathering before a tackle a 72nd kit.

My second bust was next, Youngs 1/10th Roman Signifier.

That was followed by a tro of He 162 kits all done together.

The 1/18th BMW 003 engine from HPH.

Dragons 1/72nd He 162.

And Revell's 1/32nd kit.

Then i went a bit more modern, with Xtrakits 72nd Canberra PR.9.

Afer doing some of my long term project, which i will post at the end, i went back to Norfolk. this time in the 40's with Academy's 72nd P-47.

And finaly some armour with Dragon's 35th Pz II Ausf F in an urban ruin.

And then a couple of Skunkworks 72nd Reaper Drones.

And then Academy's 72nd TBF-1 Avenger.

And then another Star wars build, AMT's TIE Fighters.

And i ende the year with some modern armour. Trumpeter 1/35th AS90.

And through there year i have been working on a project which comprises of 10 kits all relating to the German pilot Hans Ulrich Rudel. I managed to finish 6 this year. First, 4 72nd kits, 2 from Fujimi, a Ju 87R-2

And Ju 87D-5.

And 2 from Academy, the Ju 87G-2.

And Fw 190D-9.

And then later in the year i added 2 32nd Hasegawa kit, a Ju 87G-2.

And finally, and Fw 190D-9.

And that bring my modelling year to an end. Now time to look forward to 2018. I won't be building as many in 2018, but i hope to finish my Rudel project and have quite a few i am really looking forward to. And hopefully i have allowed myself a bit of time to finish a couple of my shelf queens.

Thanks for loking, and heres looking back to another year past and looking forward to another one ahead. Beer
