Your Last Three Models
Posted by keavdog on Saturday, January 27, 2018 6:35 PM

Some folks build specific genres, some folks build themes, I like airplanes but will build anything.  I think pics of your last 3 builds would be interesting.

Here's mine:

Thanks,

John

I guess the thread is gray stuff from the Fifties...kind of like me.

Modeling is an excuse to buy books.

Batman, scooter and the skynight.  Sounds like a superhero movie!  Whats the story with the gray batmobile?

EDIT: just realized thats a Futura not the batmobile.  But it was the base for the batmobile no?

Thanks,

John

Exquisite Bish!  Very cool stuff.  I really like the Stuka tank buster.

Nice to see armor, planes, cars - and lots of skill.

John

Wolf - love the big ass bird!
TempestJohnny - I built the Rufe ages ago.  In my opinion one of the best looking float planes.

John

Three of my builds. Not necessarily the last three though. I'm not real prolific. A build can take me a while.

OK. In the stash: Way too much to build in one lifetime...

Some great work shown and cool subjects.

Thanks to this site, I have been joining group builds which I have actually completed more models in six months than what normally would take me two years.

Roden 1/32 SE5 kit, this kit tried my patience, but I learned a lot.

Trumpeter 1/700 USS Lexington on the way to the Coral Sea

Tamiya 1/700 Enterprise on the way to Midway with island from Model Monkey

This is fun! I see the gang is diverse. I had to throw in a 1/1 that took about a year between the Tweet and the Shuttle that really was just a big model.

Keavdog  and everyone else .

you are correct .The " Batmobile " was once one of the most loved in the "FORD" " Cars Of Tomorrow Exhibit "  ! It was also in a Movie with Glen Ford . A long time ago . It fell on hard times , was sold to Barris , sat in front of his shop for a few years then became the Base for that totally distasteful remake to the Batmobile .

I always thought , like the FORD LEVA Car , that it belonged in MOMA for what it foretold in auto design . All I can say is after I got mine at Kresge's ( I bought two )For 98 cents  each . I got three more as gifts from relatives .It really must've hit a chord with the grown-ups cause my LHS couldn't keep them in and all the buyers were adults ! That along with the Pontiac Club De Mer were some of his top movers . Along with  the FORD Country Squire in 1/25 scale  . All these by REVELL .

Now the originals command ridiculous prices on the collecters market ! If you can find them .

Now , I have to say . After all these gorgeous models ( The 57 and Tweety ) and all else . I am overwhelmed and Ashamed . I lost all postable stuff and am starting over , be patient please ?

Crownr7 - Whose Pfiel kit is that ?

I just make them up on paint.net and transfer them to office to then print them off on some card. The flags and badges were just downloaded and then resized and i have downloaded different fonts, such as USAF, RAF, Army, German and so on.

I saw a couple of other guys doing somthing similar a few years back and so just adopted it to what i wanted.
