What are you getting under the Christmas Tree?

Our Christmas gift this year won't fit under any tree because it's a road trip and photo mission. We're driving down the Gulf Coast and photographing a couple of lighthouses. Then it's through the Everglades on Alligator Alley, U.S. 41. We'll stop at Clyde Butcher's gallery in Ochopee, FL and then the observation tower in the Everglades before getting to Miami. On Miami Beach we'll be photographing the art deco lifeguard stands. As we push north we'll be stopping at more lighthouses for pictures and at Blowing Rocks Preserve. Then it's back to the old homestead. Should take four or five days. That'll be our Christmas...

 

I'm getting a GSI Creos Mr.Supreme Airbrush with a 0.18mm needle, along with a Secret Santa gift and tickets to see the new Star Wars from my Daughter. Don't have a clue if there's anything else.

Outside of the EVH strat that's been on my list for 3 years... I'm hoping for the new 1/48 Tamiya P-38F/G

      You are going to be dissappointed there. They did Not cover the biggest "Cults" out there. Let's see I know of four they didn't list. Plastiholics Anynonamous, Model Caritis, Model Shipitis and ArmorAllItis as well as Hobbyitis with millions of adherents!! Oh and not to forget the biggest of all Miniature Wingsitis. They are so bad they sound like diseases. But, Even if you spend years in recovery they will find you and suck you and your wallet back in!LOL! LOL!    T.B.       P.S.  I already got mine. My Landlady and her Daughter got me the latest edition " Kindle Fire"

 They said I read so much from the library and so they wanted to add to this. Already have found books I didn't know existed, For Free even !

I switched to a Grex TG a few years ago and really like it. The trigger is much easier for my old hands to use and it's a more natural action to me. I hope you like yours as much as I like mine. It's also very easy to clean.

   My gifts came in April and earlier this month.

      One is my 2017 F-150 4x4 XRT, the other is our 9wk old German Shepard puppy....he is my gift to the wife however I'm kinda fond of the little fella too.

I'm part of a secret Santa gift exchange on another forum and I got the AMT 69 Mercury Cougar Eliminator. My wife gave me a small amount of funds to do as I please so I'm getting a copy of Dr. Walter Martin's book " Kingdom Of The Cults" a 800 page expose on nearly every cult out there.

No idea what my lady is getting to stuff under the tree. I doubt it will be anything to do with modeling since I have a pretty good stash of unbuilt stuff already. 

I have a set of roof rack bars coming for her newer Equinox. And probably get some more laminate flooring for the house.

I bought myself a 4 tool combo of cordless Porter Cable tools to have at home for the house remodel so I won't have to keep dragging the same ones home from work.  Oh, and the new Tamiya P-38, got to have some fun to go with the work......

Kid's are getting me one of the newer tool 1/48 Airfix Stukas. Not sure which one so will still be a surprise!

My wife love's the fact I got back into modelling as a hobby but I do not ask her to buy me anything model related. She said that is strictly my department like knitting is hers. I couldn't agree more.

The wife told me to pick something out, I ordered the Avante Guard F-14 And the weapons kit!

I usually don't ask for anything as I have quite a stash to work off of. The wife usually just keeps her eyes and ears open and picks out something that she thinks I either need or want. She's usually right. Recently I saw a copy of an ad for a Grex airbrush sitting on her desk. I know I didn't make the copy sooooooooooo I guess she's been looking on sites and plans to get one for me. I think I may have mentioned that those trigger operated airbrushes would make it a lot easier on my authritic hands.  We shall see.

Anyway, I think I'll keep her.

Ooh, I recently picked up a reissue of that kit; my favorite F-1 car!  Isn't it amazing that the kit is so old, yet it is still impressive?

So far I have a Secret Santa gift and a cat under the tree (the cat likes sleeping among the presents, so we let him).  I'm not expecting too many models, which is normal for me.

Actually, I make it Christmas 364 days a year through excessive kit purchases.
