Modelcrazy's year in review
Posted by modelcrazy on Saturday, December 28, 2019 11:42 PM

I didn't think I had done much this year until I looked back at my builds.

No ships, can you believe it? I'll have to remedy that in 2020. I was trying to get one done before the end of the year, but alas, it's not ment to be. I'll be on next years review.

There is one kit built that I didn't get any pictures of, the 1/72 Academy F-35. Nice kit that turned out well I thought. I built it for a guy at work in Dallas so I won't be able to get any pics of it either.

This was a busy year for me, working many hours in Dallas, moving back to Boise, looking for a job and starting back at my old position.

So boys and gals, here's what I completed in 2019.

#1

The 1/72 Hasegawa F-16CJ. Yes, its loaded unrealistically heavy, but it was built for a guy at Raytheon and I told him I would load it to the teeth with Raytheon weapons.

#2

1/72 Airfix Blenheim Mk. IV. Airfix and Secret Santa GB's

#3

1/72 Airfix BV 141 in white wash. Airfix GB.

#4

1/48 Tamiya Fairey Swordfish Mk. I.

#5

Hasegawa F-15 Egg Plane. Egg GB.

#6

Bandai TIE Striker. Star Wars GB

#7

Metal Earth TIE Fighter. Star Wars GB.

#8

1/72 Revell MiG 29. Secret Santa GB.

#9

1/72 Revell Eurofighter Typhoon. Secret Santa GB.

#10

1/72 Hasegawa F-16I Sufa. IDF GB.

#11

And finally, a 1/48 Hasegawa A6M5c Type 52 Hei Model 0. Weekend GB.

#12

1/72 Academy F-35A

No picture dang it.

SO that's it for the year. 12 builds, not too shabby and a lot more that I thought.

You are a prolific builder MC. It takes me 6 months to do 1, if I am lucky. Nice work on those. Btw... I think you are missing one. Where is the Saturn V from the Race to Space GB?

That is a terrific set of completions Steve!  Certainly an inspiration to less productive modelers!

Yeah great work there both in quality and numbers! I used to aim at getting twelve kits done a year- heck it's only a model a month but I'd be happy to get one done anymore.

Looking forward to all the cool stuff you'll build in 2020!!!

12 builds in a year is quite productive.  2019 was some real good looking work coming off your bench.
