What parts are you puting together right now?

 I just recently did the rails for two Tanker models. Now I have to install them. One is a LNG vessel and the other is a Gasoline Transfer tanker. They are Both in 1/87 scale.

Just finished up these bandai AT-ST pilots and going to start working on the struts for a 1/72 sopwith camel.

Finished the rigging for the USS Kearsarge. Painting and installing the figures. Will post pics later this week in the Ships section.

    Preliminary assembly of my recently aquired vintage Shuttle Tydirium. Totally simple and totally cool....to me....anyway.

Interior sub assemblies for an E.E. Lightning and Buccaneer. Both 1/72 Airfix. 

Revell 1:72 Lancaster, actually quite a nice kit so far. The fit of the major items, (canopy, wing to fuselage, etc,) is really good. I can see this will need a minimum of filling.

For a friend who's Canadian Dad enlisted in the RAF and served as a tail gunner, the name of his ship was "Dagwood,"the comic character image was on the fuselage.

Can't find decals for it, so will have to hand paint it. Her Dad did survive the war, returned to Canada to farm near Moose Jaw. Passed away several years ago.

Been working on the office of hasegawa myrt, that's ready to paint, just ordered the canopy masks, so interior paint on hold for this week.

We were in HL tonight, and my lady saw the RoG kit of a'68 Beetle and since she had one, will be starting it at model club tomorrow night.

I'm getting ready to paint the late model Panther Aust G by Tamiya.  I've built this kit several times before.  Doing this one for physicle therapy, so it's not as good as my earlier jobs.  Oh well. I've had several small strokes that have made small movements difficult to do.

I'm not "puting" anything together but the shelf of doom is full.

My rule is that for every new kit, I have to finish one from the Doom Dept. Kinda like if you make minimum payments on your credit card; you'll be paid off when the bank fails.

Lol GM....nice rule, I only wish I could follow that one.  The bank will fail long before my hanger of doom.

Getting ready to paint my Modelsvit XP-55

Just finished the Aires ejection seat for a Hobby Boss 1/48 FJ-4 Fury. Tomorrow I'll start on the decals. It's a pretty nice kit, and I like Furies.

This isn't "right now", but I have friends over once a month, and we make modeling mayhem.

My dining room table disappears under boxes, books/mags, food, drink, and anything else that shows up that day!  Yeah, we eat and drink stuff while modeling - bad, bad boys.

I can never do anything that requires precision due to the constant din, so I usually do something simple.

The TIE fighters are Bandai's 1/144 mini kits.  They come as a two pack, with one each of the standard TIE and Vader's X-1, so I bought two sets to get a pair of the standard TIEs.

My friends bring all sorts of stuff that go all over the genre-scape.  This month it seem it was sci-fi.

And I had mentioned "and anything else that shows up":

This is an inflatable(!!!) 1:1, 75mm round for the German PAK40 anti tank gun.  My friend Riki (the now infamous guy who had lunch with Shunsaku Tamiya) was visiting from Japan and brought this odd novelty.  In the interest of keeping the forum family friendly, please refrain from asking where the inflatable sexy female Panther commander is!  

For those who haven't hosted an informal model get together, I highly recommend them as a low pressure alternative to regular club meetings.  (Plus you can choose who comes over!)  I don't get anything done during these get togethers, but my friends do.

I think that if you separate all the parts, toss them together in the box and dump them out, they all fall together tight as a glove! I too was impressed how well its fit was compared to Hasegawa, Academy and Monogram's Tomcats. I also love the details on the missiles.
