Looking to find a couple specific models and struggling.
Hi Everyone!
I was looking to see if anyone had any information for me on a couple of specific model kits.
I have owned several Cadillacs in my lifetime; I am a huge fan. I am looking to get kits of two of my favorite Caddy that I owned.
Looking for a 75-76 Coupe Deville. Mine was a 75 and I was amazed at the sheer size of it! When they restriped the parking lot at my local mall, it didn't fit in the spaces anymore! It was truly a land yacht! And powerful with the largest engine ever put into a production automobile, the low revving brute 500 ci! With enough torque to stumps, that baby would light up the tires in first, second, and third. Never met a gas station it didn't love!
Secondly, I had a 67 Sedan Deville that was looking for restoration. Of course, I didn't have the skill or money for that but I loved to drive it. I miss it to this very day. (I owned it some 28 years ago). It had such presence in that unmistakable Cadillac way. The double stacked headlights like the GTO, the clean and unbroken lines of the last year without side marker lights, the slickest implementation of reverse lights ever. (the red tail light would swing out of the way and a clear lens would slide into position), the beautiful rumble of a big block not yet fettered with the burden of emissions control. It had a little adapter to put on the end of the fuel nozzle the unleaded pump would fit it the filler neck. (the previous owner had installed hardened valve seals)! I am hoping to find a 67 Coupe Deville convertible kit which was always my dream! I could make do with a 66-68 also.
Lastly, I have always loved the 1935 Auburn 851 Speedster. I fell in love with the incredible separate fenders, the exposed exhaust headers, and the way the tail tucked into that beautiful boat tail. No possible way to mistake it for anything else! As much a piece of art as a mode of transportation!
I would relish any information, thoughts, ideas, suggestions, or just plain input on sourcing such kits. Thank you all in advance for your time! Stay safe everyone!
Respectfully,
George D.
