I think i am a photoetch junkie meaning i can't seem to build a model without photoetch in the cockpit,am i alone?

Depends on the model I guess.  On my 1/48 FB-111A, I photoetched the hell out of that cockpit.  On the 1/32 F-16CJ I'm currently focused on, I think photoetch would have looked a lot worse than the Tamiya kit parts because it would have taken all the depth out of everything.  For that, I airbrushed/hand painted the kit details and added instrument decals.  I did use photoetched seatbelts though in the F-16, because they look so awesome.

Used to dislike working with photoetch and finally got comfortable with it.

So far I have managed to avoid it, but.......... now that I'm getting back to the hobby in a big way its looming dark on the horizon. I have a Revell kit of the Emden that I have committed to build for a GB and I purchased a set of PE for it. Silly, silly me.

For me it started with the need for a seat harness since a cockpit seat just doesn't look right without them.
