DM1975

I got the parts in yesterday from Tamiya. The parts tree I needed was out of stock but they apparently got it in stock quick and sent it out to me quickly. Great folks at Tamiya!

They've also been known to part out kits that they do have in stock to get you a sprue they may not have on-hand by itself.  Glad you got it worked out!

Still in Aliso Viejo?  The TamiyaCons were so much fun there.

Last that I knew before I left CA last year, yes, they are still in Aliso Viejo. And yes, Tamiya Cons there were great events to attend!

I've always contacted them by email for replacement parts for rapid results. Unfortunately Tamiya USA's office is located in CA, so there is a good possibility that they are still working remotely and the phone number goes only to the office.

I know this doesn't help to solve your problem, but its very unusual for them not to get back to you quickly.  The times I have dealt with them, I had someone on the phone right away when I called and didn't have to leave a message.  Did you call the 1-800-826-4922 number?

Yes that is the number I called. I'm sure it's just they are busy or short staffed because of the virus. But then again I have the absolute worse luck getting in touch with people that no one else has issues getting ahold of so...

Does Tamiya ever answer their phone?

So I'm not complaining about them, I think they make great products and I understand that these are "unpreced times" so to speak. I totally get it. I am just hoping someone will have some wisdom as how to best get ahold of them for a replacement sprue tree.

Ive been calling them for a week and have left a few messages with them. Again I understand the times we are in. Does anyone have experience on how long it takes to hear back from them? If not what would be the best way to contact them? I haven't emailed them yet as I don't really use email anymore. This is my next step.

Again I'm not on here to complain about them at all. They are great and I hate it when someone goes on line and bashes a company when they don't get their way or they have a misunderstanding. I simply would like to get a lost canopy sprue tree for their 1/48 scale F4F-4 Wildcat.

Thank you in advance to anyone who might be able to help.
