This is true MM. I have been doing this for some years and always clean the spout with paper.

I give the bottle a couple good taps on the table to knock any remnants from the nozzle back down after I drip some out.  This is probably an obvious one as well, but I make sure the CA bottle is stored upright at all times. 

If a tip does clog on rare occasions, I have a few spare bottle tops for my Bob Smith Industries glue, I swap it for a clean one and soak the clogged one in acetone bath for a couple days.  It is good as new afterwards because the acetone dissolves the dried glue and has no affect on the plastic.

A trick to keeping the cap from being permanently attached, put a little vaseline around the tip!

I have to use the pin vise to re-open the tip on my bottle of ultra-thin super glue, but not the medium-viscosity stuff that I have.  When you need another bottle of the medium, try the Gorilla super glue with the light blue cap.  It has a tip design that never clogs.  You just occasionally have to knock off the dried chunk of glue that collects around the rim of the tip, but the tip itself doesn't clog.  It also doesn't dry out in the bottle as quickly as others I have used.
