Very nice P-47 in a natural metal finish. Are you using foil or is that paint?  What kit & what scale?  Can't wait to see how it progresses.

Currently working on  GWH 1/48 P-61 Black Widow. No pictures yet, but the main fuselage section is mostly assembled and seams addressed. Currently working on the twin booms. Just glued them up last night. Need to start addressing those seems tonight.

Spitfire is looking marvelous Stik. F-84 and F-18 are also coming along nicely --- although, you have finished the F-84 at this point if I am not mistaken!

I've got my Hornet ready for decals.... I airbrushed on the yellow trim areas and the steel area ahead of the afterburners

Tomorrow I have to do a bit of tape residue clean up, and then it’s decal time!

Still working on the HMS Beagle, it is almost done, I am working on the sails.

I am already wondering what will be my next target, there are several ships I am interested in, such as The Mayflower, CSS Shenandoah, and maybe the HMS Victory and my main objective: the USS Constitution.

It boils down to cost and how sure I am of my ability to do a complex ship.

GWH 1:48 F-15E.   I haven't decided if it is going to be an LN or MO

Why not SJ, the original Strike Eagle wing?

Currently I am bouncing back and forth between a 1950 Chevy pickup from AMT, and a 1993 VW Golf from Fujimi.

Insert wise quote here.

Good eye Neal! Yup, that's a Mk. 7 Atomic Bomb for the Thunderstreak. The kit includes one with the boxing that I'm building.

I always felt something inside me whenever I got a kit with nuclear weapons.  When I was a kid, I even thought of placing a piece of uranium ore inside my Monogram B-29 "Little Boy" bomb.  Indifferent

What was a 12 year old kid doing with uranium ore?  Well, someone got me this really neat display of different kinds of minerals, and it included uranium ore.  Good thing it didn't have plutonium...

Speaking of nuclear weapons, I am very close to start painting the Super ZZ Gundam.

The little guy is the RX-78-2 Gundam from the original TV show.  Both are 1/144 scale.

Neal, you need to get some colors on that Gundam. It looks way too monotone! Wink

As for me, I've been working on a Thunderstreak, and am getting near the finiish line finally...

Yessir Stik!

BTW, is that a nuke for your Thunderstreak?  Or is it a recce pod or something else?

I had a mishap on my current build, so it's Plan B now:

Say hello to my little friend, a Kotobukiya 1/144 Super ZZ Gundam.  It's yet another model that has sat in my closet for 30 years.  I guess I should have been a wine maker.  Everything I do is 30 years old.  Embarrassed

Very unique subject choice John. I know where youre going with this. Surprise

The Spitfire wingtip changes are interesting subjects... each type gave improved performance for its intended operational environment and mission.

Funny how the spit is know for the beautiful eliptical wing and then they did these point ones and chopped off ones.  Looking good.

This is a project my wife and I just started.  Any of you Dexter fans may know where this is going  Devil

The Trumpeter container is a really nice kit.  Waiting on some more figures

Thanks,

John

It's a 1/700 ship as usual.

But this one has been waiting in my stash for 20 or 25 years, back from the day when resin ship kits were very special and they weren't very good.  This is from a company called Kobo Hiryu and I was excited when I started working on it.  But then I started to realize...

The one is a South Korean frigate named Ulsan.  I think it will finally be done before long.

Taking a break from plastic models and building a Guillows 24" wingspan stick-n-tissue SE-5A. Don't know if I'll fly this one or not but I'm adding pit details (what there is of them), control cables and wing wires.

Built a smaller 12-1/2" wingspan model of the same plane last year.
