OK…I’m back from the hobby show. Good show, I am always impressed by the skill of the modelers from the juniors on up at these things. Many great builds on display, they even impressed my wife…that might say something about my skills now that I think about it. Sorry, but I forgot to take the camera.
We always like the museum and they seem to do a good job rotating the displays so the wife and I joined for the next year. They just got a B-25 on loan for the next year. It was parked outside and we were having sideways rain here in the Pacific Northwest so it will give me an excuse to go back to the museum soon. They have also started to add some armor.
My purchases from the vendors include a 1/48 Nichimo Ki-45 Nick (because I want to be like Swanny
) still sealed in shrink-wrap for $10 and a 1/48 MPM (& CMK) Bucker Bu181 still sealed for $5. I also picked up a few more kit, a few as in 33 more, so I think I’m set for a while. What can I say the guy made me a good deal! My wife was watching a movie about B-17’s when I came around the corner with the dealer’s tote full of models, you should have seen the look on her face! She was actually quite happy, she’s a good wife, I think I’ll keep her.
Anyhow we had a great time, now I need to get to building!
