Hobby Lobby - 50% Off Model Kits!

Oh, well. You snooze....you lose! Appreciate the response, didn't know about the coupons so maybe I can get one later and pillage the two stores we have here and in Odessa. By the way, I built the Monogram B-ONE a couple of years back, when it was only 40.00$ and it was pretty good except for a warped wing that needed lots of hot water to straighten. Looks good hangin' in my 10- year olds room too, even though it feels like its blocking out all the light. Thanks, Cowdrey

i made a couple trips and picked up tamiya m4a3 sherman, AM b25 g , monogram he 111 and my girl got me the revell b1. it just barely fit in the car!

Can anyone show me the light? Is the coupon shown on JamesDFarrow's site the coupon for a fountain or is there a different coupon for the models? I've checked the website and can only find the fountain coupon. Frustrated in Midland, HELP!!!!!!

I very nearly did give a kid my extra copy that I had printed off, but I didn't want his mom to think I was some sort of creep-o.

If I remember right they do online but not many models... it actually brings you to a seperate website to do online and it doesnt have the full selection nor does it honor their internet coupons...

I ended up making two trips and only picked up a few things I needed for GB's upcoming and stuff.

I did get the evil eye from the sales lady when I walked in with about 12 coupons printed and started handing them out to others in the modeling section that didn't know about the sale... the way I figure I know of at least 3 of the people I gave them to who weren't going to buy that Tamiya or Acc Mini kit they got because of the sticker price... when I gave them the coupon they walked out smiling!!!

HobbyLobby is an all around hobby and craft store(with physical buildings) that often has as good of a selection of models as you will see outside your local hobby shop.
Not all HL's have models but most do. Unfortunately there are none in New England or on the West Coast. I don't know if they do online sales or not but you can check out their website for details.

Picked up the Accurate Miniatures B-25 c/d. Looks like a fun kit, we'll see if my skills have improved since I did the B-25J in 6th grade.

No way I was passing up the Enzo, $51.00 kit for 1/2 price! Can't beat that deal.

Nice haul paz, I wound up getting the nismo gt-r and enzo as well. I was considering the M1A2 Abrahms, but got a Tamiya Suzuki RGV-r instead.

I resisted going in after my second round of buying stupidity. Good finds MA, hope they're fun for you.

Hey tho - I bought two here in Cincinnati, and asked that they order in the other ones from Texas! Just kiddin'.....

I had a rather meager budget ($30 to $35 or so...), I just bought $60 worth on e-Bay, but my wife knows how much I want to collect. So what did I get?

My 3 year old daughter picked out the P-47, she wants me to build her a purple airplane, to go next to the pink airplane that's about to go on her shelf (it's a 1/72 F6F Hellcat w/ Dora and Disney Princesses stickers on it).

The A-4 has USMC markings for an E model...I'll probably do that. I may do the F-4J in operational markings...I'm not big on doing demonstration teams. Although...I'd rather "waste" a Monogram kit than a Hasegawa kit on doing Blue Angels colors....

Well, that about does it for me, round 3 was the least productive as I have pretty much bought everything HL has to offer me, today I picked up the Tamiya M-26 Pershing and Ford Focus RS WRC 01 Rally car and that was it.
Oh sure I could have found more kits to buy, but I figured I'd leave something for next time, I mean c'mon, how many of these kits do you really think I'm gonna get built before the next sale? Hmmm...I would guess maybe 1 or 2 at the most, that is if I don't decide to build something else that was previously in my stash. That Enzo is looking mighty enticing though.

I made out like a bandit, just as everyone else who was able to take advantage of HL's awesome sale, I can't wait until the next one!!

So glad I don't have that problem. The Mrs forced me to buy the Enzo Ferrari (I must admit that 1/2 off $51 is a good deal) and the Nissan Skyline I felt guilty for going over my budget, but I got over that when I bought her a few new games and a new soundcard for the PC...

Only one day left before I make my final trip to HL and see what else I can find before the sale ends, if they don't get some new kits before the next 50% off sale, there will be nothing left for me to buy....wait, maybe that's a good thing, not because of the money spent, but more because of the lack of places to stash the kits, wife is supportive of my hobby but may have issues if she opens the oven and finds it stuffed full of model kits, "but honey, they were on sale"

Stick with your plan for that silent air compressor. Why don't you sell a few of the other compressors you've mentioned to finance the new silent model? That way you can use your cash to pick up a few good deals?

I lucked out, they restocked throughout today and I picked up the last Enzo, RGV-r and GT-R R34. Now I gotta eat Ramen noodles to get my bank account back in check... LOL

Round 2 scores me a Tamiya Enzo Ferrari, Tamiya M1A2 Abrams and Revells Porsche GT-1 EVO kit, next scheduled trip will be Friday to "mop up". Not really much left that I'm interested in, but we'll see.
