Hey, I used to have a CM250.. Rather humble beginnings. Killed itself by welding its own clutchplates together.. But hey, if you sharpen up the front brake a tad (maybe stick a master cilinder of a larger bike on the front brake) you should be sorted..

Yep. it's an alloy block. In the 50's Buick designed an aloy V8, didn't like/want it & sold it to Rover, who used it in all sorts of vehicles.

I recall hearing the block was used for the new generation of so-called compact cars in the States..

YIPE!

Man, this thread is beginning to look like a photo chronicle of the Military's X-Games.

In the next scene, Wile E. Coyote pulls the trigger and the backblast from the gun blows up the tank around him. (Of course, the Road Runner is long gone!)

It's of a Merkava MBT, but they didn't have any information on how it ended up that way. IMM usually runs a couple pictures of vehicle mishaps. Some of them are interesting predicaments the drivers must have found themselves in.

Just a thought, military folks DO have to pass driver's tests, right?

LOL!!! Not really. Honestly, I didn't have a state driver's license when I joined. When I arrived at my first duty station, I was issued a card that said I could drive a whole bunch of vehicles I didn't even know what the nomenclatures stood for. It was all OJT.

I remember one day when they asked if I was licensed to drive the duece and a half. I said it was on my license, but that I never driven one, much less that I didn't know how to drive stick. They told me to get in the driver's seat and that it would be easy. LOL!! Yeah...right... Wink [;)]

Let's just say that I never drove one of those suckers again -- except in the field, wide open desert, no buildings, no civilian traffic, no fire hydrants. Big Smile [:D]

Ah yes...the good 'ol days. I could drive the hell out of the M551's and Hummers. No accidents, no rollovers during all the chases and the rugged terrain I drove on -- most of it driving at night. Under 10% illumination was the worst.
