So I got this idea in my head about 2 months ago to build a B-17F for my dad's birthday, which was last Friday but we're celebrating it this coming Sunday. Anyway, he loves B-17s, his favorite a/c of all time; he's also a Superman nut. Well, I managed to get my hands on the
huge Zotz decal set which has (among other things) nose art for the B-17F named "Superman" which flew early in WWII.
My wife decided that she'd like to help me out with this build, since it's from the both of us and it'd be nice if we both worked on it. So I did all the initial assembly and seam work and she has done
all of the painting!!! I don't mean just little details or the guns or something...I mean, I handed her the airbrush and she took off with it. And she's good! Far better than I am at this point, and this is the first time she's ever used an a/b. This -17 will be probably "my" best work so far, and it's all due to her painting.
I've been trying to get her into the hobby for a while now, maybe this is the incentive I need. Anyway, thought I'd share with y'all.
