That'd be great to be able to share your passion for the hobby.
My wife understands and appreciates the fine craftsmanship she sees, and can see shoddy workmanship as well, but hasn't got the interest to pick up a kit and have ago at it.

Do just that get it for her - there is no greater motivation than truly wanting to do something. There is little point in the PT is she doesn't want to build it!

My wife tolerates my modeling habit, but would never build a kit. Her hobby is ceramics & she's very good at that Craft.

Kevin - odd thing is the same thing happened with my wife... went to the LHS and she sat on the floor with her book in the corner like always.. when I was done I went to get her and she was looking at a sailing ship with the owner and had the box opened fingering the parts! Trouble is she didn't want to start small... she settled on a wooden schooner with all the rigging and everything. I finally talked her into that 1/72 PT-109 as a starter kit, just to figure out how to read directions and such... told her we would move up to a 1/300 modern warship in time and when we both felt ready to go for the gusto and get her massive ship...

I know her patience level and think she will get frustrated and I will end up botching it up finishing it instead... She's extremely artistic and it comes naturally, so if it gives her fits she figures it just isnt in her...

Of course maybe I should get it for her.. if she really is passionate about it she'll make it better than I can!!!

Very cool. My wife is very tolerant of our hobby for the most part, but would never succumb to sitting side-by-side and working on kits together. Your a lucky man, count your blessings.
