Well, we can only help with advice and our opinion.
If with no one else, sit back, think hard and deep and be honest with yourself.
The true answer lies within.

I've gone through many additions myself, so you need to...
Ask yourself... Were all these models purchased do to an addiction or truely a hobby interest?

Now it comes down to those 150 or so 1/35 armor kits.  I had decided to stick to motorcycle and F1 kits long before throwing myself back into building armor kits again.  Even though I really like armor and really do want to build them once in a while,
You decided to build motorcycles and F1 kits. 150 armor kits is a LOT of once and awhiles.

should I just throw them all on ebay taking quite a loss?
If you are not in desperate need of quick cash, why? You already know you will take a big loss, not a wise money venture.

Or should I just keep them on the side since 3 to 4 grand spent on them... really isn't that much...
Sounds to me like money isn't an issue.

If you were in my situation, unmarried with a ... girlfriend, working at a decent engineering job, already have a late 02 model year car, what would you do?
Sounds like you have a stable and secure life style. Now one must ask one self, how does your girlfriend feel towards your hobby? How many more years will the 02 car last? Will the job cover any unforseen expenses, such as another car, or will you need to sell the model collection?

(grrr.. you vultures who are after my kits stay away!  =P )
Not to worry, I build those 1:24 & 1:25 scale auto's. Tongue [:P]

I have an excel spread sheet made a while back like in November...
Most of the kits on the To Go listings are already under possession...
You made a decision to sell them, now you are having second thoughts.
My guess is you already know the correct answer, you knew it all along.

If it's still here, then you're probably okay.  Although it's probably floating in a fuzzy grey area.

Who cares what other people spend their money on.  Don't use that as a justification as to whether or not you should keep them.

The question you should ask yourself, is are you in need of the money?  I mean you've already spent the money, the kits are yours.  If you're not in financial need, you have adequate storage, then keep them.

Just because you're not interested in them now doesn't mean that you will not be interested in them 5, 10, 15 years down the road.  Interests change.  I would hang on to some of those armor kits just in case.  The money you get for them now won't help the feelings of regret you could experience years down the road.

haha, more like 10 to 15  years at least with my pace at work right now and I am preping for grad school as well, so there will be another 2 or 3 years of blank to slow period.  no way I am backing out of this hobby.  it's been with me more than half of my life so far and like most of the guys on this forum, it's pretty much my life style.  I still have over 100 F-1 and Motorcycle kits even without the armor kits, which is why it's that sad feeling you get sometimes when you stare at the stash and day-dream about that later months in later years that you will finally build it.  The one reason that will make me keep them is kinda like what Fantasycorsair said, I have always wanted these Tamiya kits as I grew up but of course never had THAT much allowance or earnings or time for building during school years to get them and those paints and tools.

The only thing that's making me questioning my stash is the thoughts that maybe a modeler should not mix a wide variety of interests and a minor personal flaw, that I like to collect things.  Like here some people focuses on armors , some do aircrafts, others are devoted automotive builders, etc.  Sometimes they crossover to keep things interesting, but not to focus on everything at the same time.  I, as unfortunate as it is, love them all and want to build them all at the same time as well.  Any type of man made 20th century machines fascinates me.  Thus comes the F-1 cars, MotoGP bikes, tanks of any era, any country, steam locomotives, ...some aircrafts.  I am still kinda glad I mostly stayed away from those massive volume of 1/24, 1/25 car kits.

I have a stash not as encompasing as your own, but not small, a steady gf I hope to be a wife, school and work, amongst other things. I don't really understand why you'd want to get rid of it all. For what reason? YOu want to quit the hobby. You have them, just build them. You have enough there to last you for years.

I myself am a single guy with a low paying job but there is no way i would give up any of my kits . They have already been paid for and i could not replace some of them ( maybe for some inflated price). I have some since i was a kid still in the to do list , so their kind of like family! You might regret down the road getting rid of any of them! Good luck

All right, if some still remember a short while ago I had a thread on Ebay addiction for purchasing models.  Though still buying here and there once in a while I pretty much put an end to it.  Now in the new year I apparently am facing my new ingenius idea to bottle neck my building focus so something like that won't happen again.

Already I have convinced myself to sell the lousy PS2 (bought a month ago for cheap with like 10 games) and all the bachmann spectrum locomotives plus the two 1/32 Tamiya jets.  Now it comes down to those 150 or so 1/35 armor kits.  I had decided to stick to motorcycle and F1 kits long before throwing myself back into building armor kits again.  Even though I really like armor and really do want to build them once in a while, should I just throw them all on ebay and just leave some new and big ones (like the dragon wagon and famo, or those trumpeter railroad series of guns, or the new Dragon kits.), and at the same time just get my money back even after taking quite a loss since resale values of these guys on ebay won't be as good?  Or should I just keep them on the side since 3 to 4 grand spent on them and those PE sets and metal barrels really isn't that much compared to a lot of the money other people spend on premium gas for their fancy cars, new furnitures, or DVDs (which will for sure go out of style just like those VHS tapes) and over priced computers?

If you were in my situation, unmarried with a medium to low-maintainance girlfriend, working at a decent engineering job, already have a late 02 model year car, what would you do?  (grrr.. you vultures who are after my kits stay away!  =P )  Note that Tamiya only made 101 1/12 motorcycle kits and 50 something 1/20 F-1 kits, unlike those 250 something armor kits each from Tamiya and Dragon and now we got Trumpeter.

I have an excel spread sheet made a while back like in November with a listing of armor kits I have sans the PE sets and all put online if you want to take a look.

Most of the kits on the To Go listings are already under possession and there are several more added but won't be much different.
