Well my house receive about 5 inches of water from Hurricane Katrina, and all our furniture had to go, so I'm taking advantage of unfortunate circumstances and trying to design my own modeling desk. Previously I worked on a normal desk (about 1.5 feet by 4 feet), but now that I have a chance to rebuild I would like to have a modeling desk that would cater more to modeling uses. I haven't taken exact measurements, but I believe I have about 4 feet of wall, and if my parents ok it, I might get the corner, so I'd have the corner with 4 feet of wall on either side. First off, would you say a corner desk is better than one on a wall? Second, any ideas for material to use, contstruction techniques, etc. would be great. Oh forgot to mention I have never built a desk before (maybe from a kit but that was easy); the only big thing I've built with wood was a bench swing out of 2x4's and 1x2's
. Any help would be appreciated.
