It has two speeds, lo and hi. I don't know the rpm's but it's pretty slow compared to the full size slow speed.

This cheapy only lasts about 10-15 mins per chargeBlack Eye [B)] I still use it but, I prefer the variable speed of the Dremmel. The Cheapy has on & off. No speed control either.

The battery pack that comes with the dremmel lasts for a good time. I'd guess about an hour to hour and a half of use. See, I won't fork out the $75 clams for the speed controller. I have a full size, variable speed dremmel, but I prefer the battery powered one when grinding plastic.

My g.f. had bouht me a 64-pc rotary tool set that is rechargeable. Nice set but, the charge doesn't last long. Cost like $10.00 through one of the  mail order catalogs she was getting. She thought I could use it  event though I have her Dremel with the adjustable speed control. Now, I have plenty of attachments for itBig Smile [:D]

Yea, lack of drawers is a problem. As it's my old computer desk, I don't really care what happens to it. I wouldn't buy an expensive dest to model on, that's for sure. I put it into more kitsBig Smile [:D]

I like the dremmel. It has two speeds and you can slow it down with your finger. If I put a sanding drum in it, it doesn't melt the plastic. It actually sands. Same with a grinding tool. I only need to recharge the battery about every six months. I don't use it that much. It came with a removeable pack and charger for about $25 at wal mart.

I was thinking of getting a battery powered dremmel or something like that to get the hard things sanded.

Does it work good ?

As I can see in your photo of your desk, you don't have a lot of draws. As for my desk I have 6 draws so I don't have to have everything on top of the desk Tongue [:P]

You think that's bad! No way! That's three kits on the go there. Cutting tools on the right, brushes and etc top, misc tools left. parts grouped by kit.............everything in easy reach.

The black thing centre back is a battery powered dremmel. The tall gray thing far left is a fan. Off frame right is the coffee maker.
