What kit in your current stash is the coolest?

Hang on a second, I'm actually going to go run to the hobby room and have a look at the stash...lots of cool stuff in there...

I'm back. It's really hard to choose just one, they're all so cool!

Like many of you, I have the very cool Trump 1/16 T-34/76 Mod. '42, and the Tamiya 1/16 Tiger I...both very cool.

The Trump 1/35 Mi-24 Hind is also very cool...as is the new Tasca Firefly.

Hmmm...

I've really been into building older stuff recently, so the old Otaki 1/144 C-5A Galaxy is extremely cool...as are the ancient Revell "Jet Commando" series B-52 Stratofortress and "Strategic Air Power Series" Martin B-57B Intruder kits...

But since I've also been in a very Sherman state of mind these past few years, I guess I'd have to say that the absolute coolest kit in my stash right now is the old Monogram 1/32 M4A1 "Screamin' Mimi" kit.

...or is it the Aurora 1/48 MBT70? I've already built two, but there's still one in the stash...(thanks, Rob!)

Lemme go take another look at the stash...I can't decide!

I would say:

Karo As 1/48 Vultee Vanguard: vac form with resin: I have build vac form before but not very succesfull. And I really want to make this kit into a good model!

Tameo 1/20 Lotus 79.  Metal kit with full chassis detail.

i guess the most intimidating would be a tossup.  the 1/700 and the 1/350 uss arizona's that sit in the stash.  the rigging is something that i cant get my mind around yet.  i began another 1/700 arizona last year and it has become a disaster.

I am taking my time with this one.  I have been staring at it about 4 years now, and haven't started it yet!

Thanks for the heads up on the engineering.  I will make sure I test fit everything.

That's pretty cool indeed!  I can't get enough of those larger kit too.  All those kits are on my wishlist.

As for me, I'd have to say any of my larger kits by far have the most 'cool' factor;

Nice deal is an understatement!!!!! When I got the kit home and started researching F-15's I found out this kit retailed for $130.00 to $150.00 and some places for as much as $170.00. I count myself very lucky!

Mine is the relatively ordinary Italeri RSO/O1; I'm simply in love with it. I've got the Friul tracks and I'm ready to go, but i won't touch it until somebody slips in an Eduard PE set on ebay. I haven't seen a set since the one I lost out on over a year ago. And I check a few times daily. This RSO will come alive when I find that PE set. It has become my Grail. Until that day, all the other models will just be practice.

Gotta say that would be my 1/32nd scale Trumpeter N/AW A-10A; it's HUGE! It's probably the biggest box I've got in my stash right now, and it's got a ton of parts, including resin engines and metal landing gear. All I've been brave enough to do so far is open the box and look at it (haven't even opened any of the bags yet!), but I've already said I'll build it for the Trumpeter build, so I guess I'll have to get started on it sooner or later!

For me it's probably this one...

I purchased it from a mail-order hobby shop in the UK about 2 years ago. I'm guessing it's about 1/7th scale, all resin (nicely molded) with white metal details. Really looking forward to starting it.

Also, my Trumpeter 1/32 MiG 21 with a resin cockpit from Black Box looks pretty neat too.

My coolest airplane is a 1/71 ANT 25.  Really crude old kit, but one of my favorite subjects.  I want to wait until I can devote the time to build it perfectly.

Tamiya 1/350 Bismarck with all 3 of the White Ensign Models PE sets.  That project just intimidates the heck out of me.

Edited 1-11-07  Without a doubt, my Tamiya 1/350 Bismarck with all 3 PE detail sets from White Ensign Models.  This is a project that I'm really looking forward too, and also dreading at the same time.  It's going to go on a shelf just above the 50" Plasma TV in the family room and will be a centerpiece for my collection.  My skills aren't where they need to be yet, so it will be a while before I build it, but I look at the full blown Bismarck build as being my "Holy Grail" so to speak. 

Hmmm... I would have to say probably the latest few Dragon 1/35 armor aquisitions in my stash, which would include

I'm trying to get my armor building, painting and weathing skills up on my simpler kits before I even think about touching those.  LOL

Coolest as in rare is a 1/24 scale ITC/Ringo T92 US airborne light tank. Only two of the actual vehicles were made and it was a unique looking light tank.

Coolest as in value is a 1/16 scale Tamiya Tiger I full R/C kit I won in an online contest. Really neat kit that I got for free.
