How to complain about a supplier(?)
Posted by JoeRugby on Tuesday, March 27, 2007 11:09 AM

My wonderful wife ordered me some 1/300 Napoleonic Era ships for Christmas.  Well at the time of order, around Turkey Day, she was told they would be back ordered and should have arrived around New Years.

Guess what....I still do not have them.  Problems with the distributors etc.  Understood in our hobby when many specialty items are "cottage industry" or coming from far away exotic places.  What really chaps me is thier lack of contact.

The items are already paid for and we keep hearing "...two weeks...", from our initiative.  What happened to "customer service"?

Now this supplier advertises with FSM and I do not want to get into trouble here.  Do any of you all have suggestions?

Actually, if you haven't had any luck then complaining to FSM may be the best thing to do. FSM has a duty to insure that their advertisers fulfill their obligations. I would dig up Matt Usher's email  or PM him with the particulars. I wouldn't air the dirty laundry here on the forums, unless they flat out refuse to refund your money or fill the order.

So long folks!

Bgrigg has it - FSM states in their advertising info (admittedly in VERY small type) that they will try and resolve problems with advertisers. I would send them hard copies of E-mails, etc., if you can't just forward them on for some reason.

Or, if you paid by credit card, just call the card company and cancel the order.
