Help identifying some sticky “stuff”

It's known as Fugitive Glue AKA Bindery Snot (I kid you not!). There are two basic types: Oil based which requires heat; and Resin based which doesn't, but which is trickier to use as it takes longer to tack and may lose it's "grip" on heavier objects. The one used for things like credit cards is the hot or oil based version and requires a pretty expensive dispenser. You can buy the resin kind and a dispenser from Uline.com, which is still expensive!

Plain ordinary LePages Rubber Cement may work better for a modeler. It sure is a lot cheaper!! Be careful though, it's solvent based and the vapors can be pretty strong. Treat it like you would liquid cement and you'll be fine!

I may have to buy some of that just to say I have some "Bindery Snot".  

"Bindery Snot", that's just too funny.  Who else has peeled that stuff off whatever it came on and actually used it as fake snot besides me?  You know, the fake sneeze, then stick it where it hangs off your nose, or fling it at your significant other?

Hi.  I just wanted to add that I, too, have flung that stuff at my wife and hung it from my nose.  I'm so ashamed!
