Going to the CAF Airsho - any picture requests?
Posted by mfsob on Wednesday, September 5, 2007 11:47 AM

I'm heading down to the Commemorative Air Force's Airsho 2007 in Texas at the end of the month and wanted to make the offer - if anyone has specific picture requests for a particular warbird, I'll be happy to do what I can with my newish digital camera. Just PM me with your innermost desires ... wait ... with your requests for wheel well interiors or cockpit details or whatnot ... and I'll try my best. Some I know I won't be able to get inside, like the B-29 Fifi, but most of the warbird owners seem to be accomodating if you tell them exactly what you want.

Just let me know by Sept. 24, because after that it's wheels up and southward bound.

The Airsho website lists participating planes and acts to date - http://www.airsho.org/

Wheel weels and LG are alway good shots.  Often over looked in walk arounds.  But when you seen one picture of a whatnot... you've seen 'em all. After that, front left and right quarter view shots and then rear left and right quarter view shots, of every aircraft, will be nice.  Oh yeah... and no people in the shots please. Just shout to the size 18 lady in the size 14 Spandex pants, "HEY LADY... I'm takin'a picture here!!!"

OK for real now... any shots you get will be wortha look at.  ya never know what pic may be of good use to someone.  Looking forward to seeing them.

That's a very generous offer!  I see they plan on having an A6M3 Zero there.  If it is a "real" Zero (and not a modified AT-6) I would love to see some close ups of the landing gear and wells, as well as the cockpit.
