Red Sox

HEY,
I know, this has nothing to do with modeling but it is imoertant. The RED SOX are only four games from going to the world series! They just have to beat the inferior Yankees(Clown [:o)]) and they are there! I just want to see how many of you want the red sox to win and how many of you want the other team to win.

As I've said before, I'd love to see the Sox and the Cubs in the series. The Cubbies would win, but that's another story.

I totally want the Red Sox to beat the Yankees. Everyone i know except Yankee fans of course, want a Red Sox - Cubs World Series. They are two of the most storied franchises and I 'd personally hate to see either lose. At least one of them can break their jinx.

I'm rooting for both the Red Sox and Cubs. 2 hard luck teams that deserve to one it all for once.

Now now if we could get Mike Ilich to spend as much $ on the Tigers as he does on the Red Wings! O Yea, hockey season starts tonight. Go Wings!!!!

I'm just sorry the Cubs broke down and put in lights for hight games. Another vote for sox vs cubs.

Sorry lito.sf, the Indians had a bad year. Right now its Boston Red Sox v.s. N.Y. Yankees and the Chicago Cubs v.s. Florida Marlins. The majority of Americans want Boston v.s. Chicago in the World Series. I think its neat that you follow American Baseball. Cool [8D] Have fun.

Well, Jeeves, at least the Yankees won't be swept from the playoffs. The did actually win one last night. It's the least the Sox could do not to make them feel too bad...

To be honest-- with the NFL on, I have a hard time watching baseball LOL

But being a Yankee fan going on 31 years now (no bandwagon jumper here-- I suffered through the 80's!!!)-- regardless of how many they have won, I will always be a fan. Despite this, I'd love to see Steinbrenner take a hike....

Tomorrow's game will be quite a pitching duel though-- Pedro against the Rocket. Grabbing the beer and pistachios tonight for that one!!

Question [?]The red sox? You've got to be kidding. The cubs? Perhaps. Let's see, which is the worse jinx, cheating in the world series or selling Babe Ruth? Die Red SuxAngry [:(!]!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now, I don't want you to think that I'm a rabid YANKEE fan but I did grow up in N.J. across the bay rooting for Yogi Berra and Mickey, and let's see, what team was voted team of the century? I don't think anything red was even mentioned. Let's face it, if you're not playing the YANKEES it ain't the world series. Red sox? I don't think so. Oh the Marlins will win too.Wink [;)].........

glweeks,
Stop me if I'm wrong, but wasn't it the White Sox that cheated in the Series?
Also, by your logic, the other 70 or so World Series didn't count, because they weren't against the Yankees? The Yankees weren't exactly a picture of sportsmanship in the '20's and '30's, you know...

Demono69, your right it was the White Sox (hence the nickname of the "Black Sox" scandel).

Sorry Jeeves, I probably should have said my work and this forum supports a Red Sox v.s. Cubs Series. Smile [:)] Nothing against Yankee fans out there. Yah, Pedro v.s. Clemens at Fenway. Doesn't get much better than that.

For those of you keeping score, its 2-1 Yanks. Oh how Boston must be scratching their heads. Pedro just didn't have his best. Still anybody's series.

Man, that was hilarious. I have to feel bad for old Zim, considering he used to coach the Cubs, but that was just insane. What would he do, spit sunflower seeds at him?

At least the Cubs won.

Wakefield did what Pedro couldn't. Series tied 2-2. Now can the Cubs fillet the Marlins and head to the World Series?

Man that was quite a game right to the end! When Sierra knocked that one out, I thought we had a rally going.... despite the score-- that was quite a pitching duel!
