Not sure what you mean by rapid prototyping, but they did publish an article using 3D printing. You'd draw the design on a CAD (computer aided design) software program, send it to Printapart.com, and they'd make it, for a price of course.

During the past several months did FSM publish an article about the use of Rapid Prototyping to produce one off parts?
